I was wondering too, it's only R2 and last week he was out also in R2 of the India Open - what made him looked so tired when he's known for his physical prowess?

You know, earlier while watching a WD match,I kept hearing the umpire in the adjacent court calling An Se Young's name now and then when I was sure it wasn't time for her scheduled match with Wardani yet. Out of curiosity , I switched the livestream to that singles court and to my amazement I found out MAS has a male version of An Se Young squaring off with Lakshya Sen !

Wow, MAS MS Ng Tze Yong is the male equivalent of the Korean Wonder Girl and Superstar-in-the-making An Se Young ! :p:D:)

Lee Zii Jia has a serious rival now for national glory following in the footsteps of Lee Chong Wei in the near future.

Was he limping a little? Maybe he’s slightly injured?

Stuneyama strikes again. He had a convincing victory VS Antonsen apparently. I will watch the replay to see how he managed to win.

    wow....
Chia/Soh came with a plan and executed very well. They looked seriously motivated from get-go.
They didn't let Wang/Liang warm up, before they knew all was over.

If not limping, he could have a virus or some sort of slight infection.

Home hopeful proved her victory over He BJ in Kuala Lumpur couple of weeks ago was no fluke as the Indonesian hopeful did it again at home soil to conquer China #2. He shows disorder trend after sparked seasonal inspiring outcome late last year in back to back Europe tour also BWF World Tour Finals as well then revives struggling form to start new badminton season. Tunjung was better in tactical wise to move He back and forth, forced her fancied opponent off balance and dived frequently to reach shuttlecock placement. Top contender An SY safely through into last eight alongside other popular names, Marin and Intanon.

Apart from Viktor Axelsen, none can manage consistency in MS category, former World Champion Loh KY and former All England Lee ZJ are notable example to describe how unstable they are as established player. Only two seeded players left so far who will face off this afternoon, Christie opposes Sen to book a place in semifinal. China best bet Shi YQ eliminates local star and extend head to head record to 7-1, the Chinese dominated the game despite had roller coaster process to proceed, pushed Ginting into the backline regularly then punished by deadly smash. The net play and speedy game usually becomes Ginting effective weapon to trouble his opponent but it didn’t work reasonably well yesterday.

Men’s doubles still interesting to follow where defending champion Alfian/Ardianto, world champions Chia/Soh stay on course. The most anticipated match will pit Indonesian top contenders against World Tour Finals winners Liu YC/Ou XY. The Minions who already passed their peak performance retired following Gideon abdominal muscle injury. China is experimenting several scratch pairs in women’s doubles and mixed doubles as well to seek next lethal combination.

He was limping towards the end of game 3, looked to be some discomfort on his right thigh.

Liu Sheng Shu is world junior championship for WD and XD last year .
Maybe she’s a new talent, her smash is so powerful . I thot Zheng Yu is better than Zhang Shuxian but Zheng Yu is aging.

Today LSS will face her junior partner Tan Ning, I predict Liu/Zhang will win over Tan/Xia, since Zhang SX's overall performance looks better than Xia YT's.

It's gonna be a (pleasant) headache for WD's coaches if Liu/Zhang can progress further. Zhang SX also has improvements, she now smash more than before and can cover the backcourt better than before.

I don’t know how Sen recovers from losing position in the rally. It is tremendous, he keeps going and manages to get the point.

Sen cross court smash is deadlier than straight down the line smash.

Very feeble play by Christie at 15-15. Sen took 6 consecutive points.
