Ok so can we just move on past the Umpire "Double hit"incident ?

I personally think it was karma serving Yamaguchi for her conceding to blatant fault call of her SF match against Sindhu in Asian Championships 2022 where she was clearly delaying the serve but some Desert Umpire gave one point to her deducting one of sindhu's without even giving a warning to sindhu which was clearly unfair to Sindhu. This incident is a prime example of everything wrong, must I add, horribly wrong with BWF and the need for some sort of change for good.

As long as BWF continues with its bizarre regulations and dumb umpires we will continue to see such incidents so its high time BWF does something about it or we shall continue to see such incidents.

If there is no instant review system or anything similar, then human errors cannot be avoided, and umpires will look dumb occasionally.

One thing is its not easy for AhsanHendra to win the title is they are already > 30. When they play 4th/5th day, they are very tired and their bodies cant hold it anymore. So being RU at their age already feels like more than Champ. The system in WTF works well as they can drop a match without spending too much energy. Just gotta hang in there.

Its like that from 2019 till now , but maybe they can snatch a big one like this, like 2019z

I agree 100% BWF needs some profound introspection into its regulations to make Badminton a much fairer game.

I was just talking about BWF needing drastic retrospection and Dumb Umpiring and here is another prime example of one.

HBJ got fault for NO FREAKINN REASON !!:mad:

Congrats TTY you won credit to the Dumb Umpire and Dumb BWF

Today My heart goes out to HBJ as much as it went to Sindhu in Asian Championships cause such bias and prejudice by those who are suppose to be fair breaks a player mentally and their confident flow.

Sorry HBJ the corrupt and dumb BWF failed you and your fans :(

She was stolen of a great confidence boosting point by TTY's fanboy sitting as the Umpire...which is very normal now a days.

I did not watch the 2nd set. Actually which point was she faulted?
It's incredible how she can just lose almost all of the points after leading 11-6 second set.

I guess since you say it was a confidence point. It must be around 11-6 right?

i think they were both 12 all when it happened. hbj got called fault by the umpire after retrieving a very close shot at the net.

    Actually, ok.
I guess she is going to lose anyway.
I dun think mentally, she is going to be able to handle TTY coming from 11 - 5 down to tie the game at 12-12.
Just dunno why they become so mentally weak when playing against TTY.
    Ratchanon and HBJ.

I thought TTY is supposed to be the mentally weak player.
Of course leading 13-12 does help. But I doubt she is going to win that set anyway since this set is supposed to be a formality when she led 11-5

I agree that Zheng Yu is good, she just needs to cut down unnecessary unforced errors, and more importantly, her forehand serve.
As for Zhang Shuxian, recently I saw that she had improvement in smash and net interception. She smashes more than before, when she usually does drop shots instead.
But at the moment, they could be the best WD2 CHN team has. Du Yue, Li WM, Liu XX, Xia YT, I have no hope for these players :p

    That point didn't matter actually.
    She wasn't going to win.
I am referring to the passage of play after they changed ends in the 2nd game.
    HBJ was leading 11-5.
    She looked out of breath.
