So ,I am in the market for a 3u racket as i mostly play singles or back court in doubles , unfortunately it seems most brands dont produce 3u rackets anymore and yonex doesnt release 3u versions of their rackets here sadly !( in India ). Sigh ! Anyway , what are some of the best options available for rackets in terms of 3u weight category which are preferrably head heavy and on the stiffer side if possible and provide good feel / control ? Any brand is fine as long as racket fits the crieria.
there are plenty of 3U rackets in my opinion which are suitable for single or doubles back court yonex astrox 100zz, 99pro, 88d / 88d pro victor Ryuga 1/2, thruster F, 90k2
I have read in group and tried TK 770HT from victor in 3U. It's similar to Astrox 99, head heavy and stiff, not 99 stiffness. Smashes with this one strung with exbolt 63 are deadly.
Yes but not all region had the previleges enjoying 3U. I like 3U HH racket but here, there is so little that own 3U variant. 3U are near extinction here.
Those are some great suggestion from other BC Member. If you run out of luck finding those 3U rackets, i suggest to give Ax99 OG 4u (orange colorway) a try if stores around you still have it in stock, cause that racket almost feel like a 3U racket.
This is the biggest problem Inam facing as yonex pretty much doesn’t release 3u models here which basically makes it difficult and even in li Ning 3u ones are hard to find . Even li Ning models available in 3u here are few and far between.
Try only but don't have. I tried 100zz 4u not 3u, I think 100zz more stiff than aeronaut 9000c. Aeronaut 9000c with 3u but not really heavy for swing like 4u. Easy to use I will choose aeronaut 9000c MD: Aeronaut 9000c XD: Aeronaut 9000c 60:40 100zz MS: 100 zz For me, I rarely single so I will choose 9000c
There's also the Axforce 90 Dragon, but it's quite expensive. Victor Thruster Ryuga 1 would be another option.
Do you realy need 3U? 4U could be a better option. Now I have 100zz 3U and tectonic 7 (4U). So, tectonic 7 have significantly better flat smash.
