Bad luck for Liu Yuchen. he can't carry Ou Xuanyi in all the matches. @Justin L @antssantss @CLEAN @tbgoh288 CBA seems to be wasting the carrier of a one of the best mens doubles player. Also looking at how Li shifeng plays, Will he be another Lu guanzhu or Zhao junpeng??

I wish li junhui would come back..maybe liu yuchen can pair up with feng yanzhe once Wang YL recovers and resumes his partnership wif Huang DP. I still dun get why Lu GZ and Zhao JP are miles behinds SYQ despite being the same age/generation. Li SF is still young and considered their junior, he has time to improve

Di zijian is also a good option if he is available. Li Shifeng had about 2 years since Chineese players didn't participate in tournaments in that period but no improvement is seen.

I am surprised that Liu Liang beat LLX. He played so badly in the semi finals and was 8-1 down in the first set. It must be nerves as he recovered and even controlled the 2nd set.. I am not convinced on his game yet. Let's see how he plays in The Petronas tournament. It will be a bonus if he develops his all round game as he already has a strong smash.

I am always critical of CBA's lack of juniors but I see
there are now some depth and those that show their talent can move up.
But they need to build up the 15 and above category. I hope these youngsters can be sent to asean and European tournaments.

How old is Liu Liang? I saw the profile and think he is 18? From what I've seen, he looks much stronger and faster than LLX on court and not surprised by his victory. I am not sure about his movements, he seemed a bit awkward going backwards, especially to his forehand side but coming to the front he was super fast.

Liu Liang was born on 26.3.03.
You are right his strokes hasnt developed fully. But I see some positives appearing in the way he is manipulating the game against LLX. He was patient and played to his strength, the front. I hope he can develop his smashing power to LZJ and LKY's level. Then he can put apprehension into his opponents game. He will also open and dominate another front, So to speak.
The next tournament he plays will show whether he is working his game along similar lines.

He has to improve his net game play. very poor at the net. Even he won against Lei Lanxi in last week, he was outplayed at the net many times.

Finally I can get access to the site readily.
I thought Liu Liang can be an answer to the lack of a good Ms. What a disappointment although the Indonesian youngster is very good

Don't be disappointed. It is his fourth international tournament after 3 years. He has to improve his net game play. He was outplayed at the net by the yesterday opponent as well as Lei Lanxi in the last week final although he won that.

Just my 2 cents worth on the state of China's juniors, Your opponent tells you I will let you have the first set but I will win the next 2 sets.
    and beat you conviingly.

Bad luck for Weng Honyang as he is in the lower half of the draw where upper half contains lots of substituted players. @CLELY when will the rankings totally unfroze and als registration for Malaysia open 2023 opens?? Weng Hongyang won't be able to reach top 32 since this is the last world tour tournament except finals

The WR will back to normalcy started from 3rd January 2023 while MAS Open M/Q report will be published on 2nd December 2022 based on 29th November BWF World Ranking.

And talking about Weng HY, possibly he can make it to enter top-32 (even considering he would be lost to Shi YQ tomorrow), his total point will be 41,893.
