Conclusion, if u get victor in ur draw before finals, ur doomed, its pretty much standard haha except for DO last week
Need to calm down somewhat. Previous posts have been reviewed. No need to make mountains out of molehills. Mod.
Knowing China, they will have a plan to deal with Axelsen at the Olympics. Shi Yu Qi might not win against Axelsen these next few months. The plan would be to test Axelsen and analyse his decision making in various areas of the court. Work on Shi Yu Qi’s skills especially around the net. Then put the plan into place around April May before the Olympics.
At the moment, he shows the greatest potential. Will he qualify? Start of Olympic qualification is still six months from starting. Why would he not have a chance at qualification?
I'm rendered speechless by He Bingjiao ! Are we sure that's HBJ playing or Tai Tzu Ying , for that matter? HBJ not only defied my prediction, it's such a smooth, free-flowing, masterful badminton she's just displayed. As for TTY, it's the first time I saw her not only making several uncharacteristic errors but appearing frustrated with herself and seemingly clueless, and just look at the scoreline, 21-15, 21-10 ?
Well, if HBJ goes on to beat Marin tomorrow, clinching two high-tier titles in consecutive weeks, I'll eat my hat !
I'm afraid that's not a good analogy to make comparisons - different court material is a significant, if not entirely game-changing, factor as compared with different approved shuttle speeds. That's why we talked about clay/grass court specialists in tennis, not fast/slow speed shuttle specialists in badminton. Also , if as you claimed, "They all meet the speed requirements under some but not all circumstances (temperature, humidity)", then they shouldn't be approved in the first place. Remember, the shuttles have to be within the stipulated speed ranges under approved playing conditions, such as lighting, wind , and the prevailing temperature and humidity of the tournament hall/arena. Don't tell me , during training, the players don't get to use different speed shuttles as well as playing conditions, such as at different time of the day and locations? Never mind, I just feel that experienced or top professionals shouldn't let the shuttle speed affect their game too much.
Well you have to give Gemke some credit for having played well here. But a big issue is the lopsided draws we get due to the horribly out of date seeding because BWF for some reason refuses to use updated rankings.
I just realized ASY didn't play in denmark open last week and also french open this week, is she injured or something ?
What is her name? She surely made herself famous by pissing off VA Sent from my M2101K6G using Tapatalk
Hearsay : She wanted to go independent but the association refused. And it has been resolved. Can someone verify? Event?
More diverse landscape for French Open final today than China dominated DEN Open last week, 8 different flags compared with 4 in Odense. Ten years ago, the teenager Axelsen entered French Open final but lost to MAS Liew Daren at that time, one of valuable experiences to learn, ten years later the tall Dane who has transformed into incredible and current world's best men singles player touches down Paris final once again and takes on fellow countryman Gemke. High-calibre Axelsen outclasses Naraoka in their first ever meeting, some aspects are required to improve for the Japanese young aspirant. The unseeded Gemke rises on the right time here, his perseverance has brought to secure second S750 final after DEN Open 2020 when most of top players were absent due to pandemic ravaged rampantly around the world. No seeded players in Gemke draw trajectory, most difficult hurdle served by Srikanth and 2022 World Championships silver medalist Vitidsarn then contested a lopsided match to power past the fatigue Lee CY in semis. Defending champion Yamaguchi was clearly out of her element, lost tamely to Marin, the Japanese showed below par performance, slow movement, inaccuracy, vulnerable defense that indicating signs of unwell condition. The Spaniard didn’t waste golden momentum to cruise smoothly into final, the first after she made comeback in May this year. A back to back final for China second ranked He BJ, she displayed more consistent and maturity in terms of patience, reducing elementary mistakes, changing pace between long rallies to propel quick interception how to vanquish Tai TY who provides plethora of uncharacteristic errors throughout the match rather than the showcase of her fascinating wizardry shot, under pressure and dictated by the lefthander rival. It'll be a big match to watch He-Marin final showdown, former Olympic Champion created dramatic turnaround, saved four match points to grab victory in their last encounter at Tokyo World Championships late August. Rankireddy/Shetty show upward trend in this season, played instrumental role in IND Thomas Cup winning team, nailed CWG gold medal and World Championships bronze medal. The Indian duo was the runner-up of 2019 edition here and they have good prospect to bag first S750 title. It's maiden final of BWF top tier tour for the unheralded Lu/Yang who present unexpected performance along Paris journey to stun the Minions at opening round then INA Open Champions Liu/Ou, All England winners Fikri/Maulana, the biggest achievement so far by Taiwanese pair. More and more impressive by the on-fire Tan/Thinaah to subdue Baek/Lee in commandable fashion, Thinaah showed fantastic shots to disorganize Korean experimenting combination, an entertaining WD match rather than usual boring lob exchanging. One more hurdle for the Malaysian to earn top prize, two-time World Champions Matsumoto/Nagahara. What a celebration for the experienced Piek/Tabeling after their challenge was succesful and deject Kusharjanto/Kusumawati from final berth, the turning point arrived at 7-13 of second game, how on earth that the Indonesians to lose focus and getting panic subsequently, 14 points in a row, such a huge whopping, psychological impact was massive for INA youngsters to cope in deciding game. Interesting fact that this Dutch pair had defeated Zheng/Huang in All England 2020, tricky rivals for the Chinese.
