Did you all see that the strange wheelchair tipped over while they transported poor JC? They should have a regular wheelchair instead of that low-cost model
Walkover doesn’t count. I could not find the match involved, thanks for letting me know! Its a wonder he has any energy left.
Kodai is a stud. Really like his style. His racquet skills are top notch. He will probably get destroyed by VA tomorrow but I can see kodai getting to number one or close to it in a few years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The omen has approached for reigning Olympic and World Champion to clinch French Open crown, a few title that missing from his trophy collection as he stated in press conference prior the tournament kick-off that he didn't performed so well in Paris, highly likely this is the time. Axelsen was very well prepared to avenge his defeat in Odense to anticipate majority of Singaporean attacking smash, leaving tiny space for Loh to seek loophole to break the mighty Danish solid game. A tremendous development created by newcomer Naraoka post S100 triumph in Vietnam last month to enter two successive semifinals in top flight tournaments, the energizer and dilligent Japanese outlasted Christie who retired at 17-13 due to ankle injury. Two suprising packages face off at lower half draw, Lee CY and Gemke. HKG player Lee was visibly exhausted but Lu GZ couldn't seize the rare opportunity to snatch semifinal ticket of S750 tour, being clueless occasionally including after interval break of decider. Gemke applied better tactic to bounce back after losing first game as Vitidsarn ran out steam in final game. Busanan Ongbamrungphan played good badminton here, tackled the steady Chen YF then force another CHN leading lady He BJ into tough battle, some disguising dropshot, more attacking game and minimize error contributed the lefthander victory last night. It's reversal of fortune for Tai TY, DEN Open dejavu almost strikes again in opening game,19-12 then Intanon narrowed the deficit into 19-18, something problem with Taiwanese concentration and consistency. Former world champion stamina didn't adequate to balance Tai rally and quality shot in the second. An intriguing Yamaguchi-Marin duel will open today's semifinal match, both players overcome last eight opponents comfortably. Men's doubles contest offer some uncharted semifinalists, Rankireddy/Shetty become the only regular faces in BWF top tier tour and perhaps have best chance to top Paris podium whilst other three combinations pull off stunning result en route to semis. Chen/Jia never replicate same tip-top performance in two cobsecutive tours, Bae/Lee have different answer to respond Chinese formidable formula. Japanese contenders are back to business to secure one place in final. China best bet, the realiable figures Zheng/Huang practically unstoppable to destroy their opponents and will be challenged by European Champs Lamsfuss/Lohau who succeded to eliminate dangerous duo Feng/Huang. Indonesian back-ups Kusharjanto/Kusumawati upset the home fans to topple Gicquel/Delrue and set up a clash with tricky and vast experienced NED Tabeling/Piek.
Semi-final day of a Super 750 and we get to see 12 different nations on the TV court. That's gotta be a record? Look at all those flags!! And that includes 5 European nations.. and that does not even include host nation France. I feel for them. Would have been good for the tournament to also have France represented today.
Wonder why the organizer put the WS semi final matches so far apart. The winner of the first match will have about 7-8 hrs more rest than the other in the final.
They did the same with MS and MD, and it is because they are idi*ts.. sorry. Most other big tournaments do consider this nowadays and try to give players who are going to meet tomorrow equal amounts of rest.
Nice to see Marin back to her 1st Final in a while. Huge chance for ShettyRR to win their 3rd SS title, 2nd of the year.

Maybe they wanted to give TTY and HBJ more time to recover before their SF match today. But, yes, it is really unfair for the winner of this SF match. So the queen of screaming has more advantage tomorrow, which is also unpleasant for the fans who favor players with good sportsmanship.
Noooooo....Fuku..why !! No worries Im happy to see them at semis after lobg time buck up Queens..well played in the second set despite losing it was great effort.
Why is Shetty always whispering to his partner before the start of every point? Is there so much to say?
