No badminton after this match till mid to end October if we are lucky it wont get canceled!

    bwf really
Needs to work on making a better calendar year of schedule with these huge gaps… guess its back to watching live youtube streams of very small tournaments from around the world it is.

Few players are as good at winning in 3 games as Tien.

    KN looks tired and exhausted.

CTC only plays better when he is behind in score, probably explains why he always is involved in rubber games. And I think that is part of the reason why he doesn’t do well in finals, by the time he reaches finals he is already out of steam

You are correct, I did not see that particular quote because I have that person on ignore since forever (seriously, who hasn't?) and I guess it became apparent why. That statement is indeed way over the top and I now understand your reaction much better, sorry.

However, I have since watched the scenes in question and I think Antonsen deliberately tried to put Nishimoto off several times and deserves all the appropriate (!) criticism. Gill Clarke, for example, was very critical of his behaviour and voiced her criticism in the strongest words I've heard from her over the years.
These instances all occured during the closing stages of the games with momentum on Nishimoto's side. Correct me if I'm wrong (not watching the whole match), but for the rest of the match, AA doesn't seem to have a problem with the way KN was serving.

At 37:30 he is clearly ready and then puts his arm up (to quote Gill: "Why on earth isn't he ready? He was ready!")
At 39:46, you can stop when the camera switches from Nishimoto to the total perspective and see that Antonsen has his left hand up while his racket arm is down, so he is not at all in his usual receiving stance yet. He is clearly not ready. Here, Nishimoto also served too soon, no doubt. However, after that, Antonsen celebrates the flick going out. When the umpire then agrees with Nishimoto and tells AA it is a let because he was not ready, Antonsen responds by saying "I was ready." That is simply a lie straight to the umpires face. Gill also said the same: "Once again indicating that he wasn't ready and then saw the shuttle fly out and said he was ready."

1:10:09 is also pretty clear: he is standing there with his arms up, same receiving postures as is normal for him, looking at Nishimoto before the serve (stop at 1:10:08). Gil: "I don't get it. Why is he not ready? He was standing there, ready, and then says I'm not ready."

The last incident, at 1:11:16, it is a bit closer, meaning Nishimoto is serving quicker, maybe even too quick, but just like on the other two occasions, AA is clearly looking at Nishimoto before the serve. What does he say to the umpire? "Every time I'm about to look up and he serves." No, dude. You are looking up every single time and then he serves. Once again, this is much closer, and if it was an isolated incident, maybe Nishimoto would have received word from the umpire.
This is all pretty scummy stuff, as it is deliberate and unsporting (especially the lie). I don't see what there is to defend about it.

Apologies again for my initial post, I had indeed not seen the stronger worded post you mentioned. However, I totally agree with the real critcism by the serious users (and Gill and the umpire, actually).

Chou has a lot of energy left, he just waits for changing the court.

KN's hair still intact after 1 hour and 40 kilometres of running and 10 dives.
    Incredible.

I feel that both players are out of steam, especially KN… but CTC should play longer rallies to tire KN out

Kenta won. That was such a very good match. Really love Kenta's defense. It feels like Tien could play a bit more aggresively cause a lot of offensive moves were working.

Both played well, but I feel CTC needs to change his gameplay to reduce rubber games, it’s tiring out especially at the age of 30+

On hindsight, CTC should smash more, especially to the body.
