The server should wait until the receiver is ready, then serve. Sometimes the receiver wants to complete his/her breath.

But I dislike those who either take a quick serve or long time to serve. A quick serve shows the server is not confident of their serves, like Lim Khim Wah, to name one.

The long serve is the twist.

I salute TTY. She is always ready to receive and most of the time, she has to wait, standing still for a few seconds while her opponents get ready to serve.

Off topic, in tennis, the serves by Djokovic and Nadal are annoying.

Djokovic will bounce the ball 15 to 20 times before serving.

Nadal will pull his shorts, rub his nose and ears before serving.

Is this why their games take a long time to finish? :D

I don’t have any sympathy for AA. He was set in position, clearly ready and then put his hand up.

I disagree. The receiver is ready. The server does not need to make eye contact. If you have a player who has a squint, which eye is making the eye contact?

Candra Wijaya is another player that does the quick serve.

The umpire needs to control the situation.

Thank you for saying what was on my mind.Even Gill the voice of Badminton was astonished by the brazen trickery of AA.

Stating a rule for eye contact will take the game backwards and is terribly difficult to enforce. In my experience, when serving, you do not deliberately need to look at the opponent’s eye. You look at the receivers position, his/her racquet, the top of the net for doubles. Never the opponents eyes unless it’s a tactical intimidation technique.

I can use my peripheral vision to judge when a receiver is ready. It’s the receiver’s own problem if they are set in receiving position and get caught out.

Thom Gicquel is the worst for that. If his opponent has their hand up, he immediately serves when they even start to lower their hand…

so you would take 1 good performance in 1 event that doesnt even happen yearly over constant domination of the world circuit and being WORLD NUMBER 1 for crazy amounts of weeks in a row?

Oh man Not again lol...seeing some posts of children here talking about rankings on paper..So tired of children thinking WORLD NO 1 automatically turns a player into the BEST/LEGEND/GOAT :D

If that was true then LCW,Peter Gade,Wong CL,Bao Chunlai,Dai Yun,Wang Shixian,Wang Xin,Saina N,Mia A,Srikant and I can name so many more "NUMBER 1s" who never won a single Major tittle would be GOATS or LEGENDS hahahaa.

Now these all players were great and the reason they became no.1 is because they were consistent at regular tournaments however somehow when it came to the BIGGEST GRANDEST AND THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS OLYMPIC GAMES & WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS the Biggest badminton tournaments of the year they all choked or were just not mentally tough to win.

Nobody remembers how many weeks LCW was number 1, I certainly dont, what I do remember is him getting beaten again, again, again, again, again, again and again at the Grandest Olympics and Most Prestigious World Championships by the GOAT LD and Legend CL. (7 again for a reason:p of which 1 one disqualified :D)

The latest addition to the GROAT list aka (GREATEST RUNNER UP OF ALL TIMES) could be TTY and KEVIN/MARCUS but I still feel she can win that Elusive Gold next year at best though cant say the same for Kevin/Marcus cause they havent won a single medal at WC/OLY let alone winning the silver or Gold so this pair is the King of chokers.

Even Aron/Soh are now in Legends club with a world tittle and already an Olympic medal despite being not a world no.1...Like Great Miss Yulianti of Indonesia who beat world no.1 Miss Lu Lan former World Champ to stand at the Oly podium and thats what make her a historic player despite being world 11 she stood at the biggest podium of 2008.

So If A player who isnt a world no.1 and goes on to win the biggest prize they are real legends whereas the no.1s who choke again n again are nothing but GROATS !

theres no frikin agreement or disagreement angle to it , you're not supposed to trash talk players or any person in general unless they've done something shitty that warrants it. AA did nothing like that in this case. this is trashing by definition . you get to criticize someone , not trash them . there is a line you do not cross .
Saying he "will face heat for the **** he shat" and " he is a shame" just shows how pathetic the guy who says this is.
You're the one blowing this out of proportion . hassefar just gave his views .

Is that Park Joo-Bong who puts towel on Arisa Higashino's neck during the break?
He is quite hands on as a Director.

Also, was it a cold or warm towel? I'm curious.
