I feel you. I just snatched a used Thruster BXR in mint condition for 75 EUR just for the fun of it and I'll have serious issues to spend 200+ EUR for a badminton racket. I'm sure the new Li-Nings will clearly top that.
Mint condition? I think it has been through a lot... by what I've seen it has been raped before. This loooong (limp) thingy just to get into the (some may call it wrong) hole. I hope I didn't confuse anybody. I'll let Simon explain if I did.
I feel like this deserves a resolution… Why? Just why? My OCD will be crying itself to sleep tonight.
Any ideas when the AX 90 Dragon Max is hitting Europe? I'm seeing amazing reviews on youtube but I dont speak a word of Thai and google translate's getting tiring!
From what I can understand based on my limited thai badminton lingo, if you liked the 80, chances are 90 will be great too. It's very easy to play with, comparable to Nanoflare 700 and Auraspeed Hypersonic, but due to more headweight it smashes harder. They said if you normally like to use even balance racquets, but might be looking for power that head heavy offers, the 90 is good. As for the 5u version, due to higher balance point, it's going to feel more sluggish, and that the 80 5u may still be better in that aspect. Now if anyone with this racquet could provide some more specific insight that would be great! Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
Just found this new entry on badmintonCN for the Halbertec 8000. Naming scheme seems to follow the four digit one from the Aeronaut series. Material and Techs: Pics:
And same as with the Aeronauts, it just doesn’t tickle my must-have nerve. No idea why. Thanks for sharing though!
And same as with the Aeronauts, this one really tickles my must-have-nerve. Planned to order a BladeX 800 or Aeronaut 9000i within the next few weeks but I'm really digging this colorway. Hopefully it will have a bit more Headweight than the BladeX 800
Isn't it great, how differently we are all ticking? Any info from li-ning.dk regarding the availability of the BladeX 800?
Looking back at my racket history, most of the rackets I ended up selling were the ones which I wanted for the specs in the first place... Pretty much all rackets I use atm have been bought because I either really liked the colorway or because one of my favorite players used them at some point Haven't asked them about it but just saw they have the Tectonic 6 listed (200€ for an upper mid range racket is ridiculous btw). Could indicate that more of the rackets that are released in Asia already are on their way over here
They have lost their f-ing mind. Seriously. I hope that they will finally bring in some new stock of strings to Europe. Heck, it's been even impossible to get grommet boxes around here over the past months.
Looks like lining.dk has a 25% sale on everything right now, just a heads up if you've been looking to get something from there! Also, have they removed the li-ning family 50% discount that was available before?
This seems to be because the club Im a member of are sponsored by li-ning. However it just showed up now…
Any recommendations for someone who mostly uses Yonex and likes the 88D and the Victor TKF enhanced? I tried the 3D Calibar 900 recently and hated it. It felt way stiffer and worse to hit with than anything I've tried before. I also use an Astrox 100zz and like how it plays other than it being more demanding to use. Used to own a Nanoflare 800LT and loved the speed/control it gave but didn't have the technique to make up the power. Used to also own a Duora 10 and Arcsaber 11 but both felt just meh to me. I've been recommended a Turbo Charge 75 and an Axforce 80 before but Li-Nings marketing and racquet categories don't make any sense to me (what's the difference between 3D Calibar, Tectonic, and Axforce? Is Turbo Charge a head light racquet?) so I can't come to any real conclusions...
The Li Ning racquet lines like "Tectonic", "turbocharging", etc. don't have any correspondence to head heavyness necessarily. These lines are purely referencing the technology used in the frames themselves. Inside all of their lines there are sub-categories labeled "boost", "instinct", "combat", and "drive". Boost is usually even balance 3u racquets. Instinct is ultralights around 75g. Combat is heavy 3U racquets (though not necessarily head heavy). And drive are usually 4U with stiff shafts. For the most part I actually really like how Li Ning categorizes this stuff, but it definitely takes some familiarity with it to understand it. That being said, it seems that the sub-categories are going away with their new lines so ♀️
