And not to mention work on his control of shots to the back. I couldn't count how many times he pushed the shuttle out in G3, let alone in the match.

Is it because bam not giving lzj incentives after gold medal in commonwealth games? 2 weeks rest shd be sufficient to prepare for wc. Later cold or out early rounds.

I think his coaching team feel that he really have a good chance in this year WC to make history, so want to focus on it.

The Commonwealth games are outmoded. Less important as time goes on.

National Honour? Giving yourself the best chance of winning the world championships is a better honour for your country.

How many people remember LCW won a Commonwealth medal?

However, for a country like Malaysia, Commonwealth games is good for sending the backup team and some juniors to get experience of team events and developing team spirit eventually for preparation for future team events like SEA games, Thomas and Uber cups.

Good decision by Lee Zii Jia to focus on the World Championships if he thinks the Commonwealth games doesn’t benefit his preparation.

I recalled LZJ said that he has a hip injury after losing against Ginting. And he also had to spray his hip in the match against VA. In any case, World Championship is worth 10 times more than CWG.

This is the worst I have ever seen Lee Zii Jia play this year. Hopefully he will train and improve himself after Malaysia Master. He looks rusty.

I'm at a loss for words for LZJ.
There is no doubt for his talent, he is the real challenger to viktor.
but somehow he often loses because of his carelessness.
Emotional, overzealous, dismissive, and stubborn, that's just how he is.
If only he could reduce it to all those ridiculous things.

Its the pressure. LZJ often loses when it gets too much. like the last time against axelsen when he clawed his way back but choke at the end.

It was the epitome of crumbling under pressure in the latter half of G3. Painful to watch. Hope the team has a good sports psychologist.

Cg is a quad event only with india and england as big opponents. Not many team events. Asean game is smaller. Asian games respectable. Thomas cup grandest. Not many actually. It is on. Show some team spirit. Where is demi malaysia team work? Other seniors going? ;) until cg is abolished. U go tell lcw and rashid its insignificant. They and india england will boot you. Lol

It's in the news, he got injured during Indonesia Open. Just take his teams words for it and see how he does later in tournaments in Japan.
