That's what I have in mind as well. While Ou doesn't have the big smash that Li can pump out from the back court, he makes it up with being a way more well-rounded player than Li, more variety in attacks and defense. I really hope Liu/Ou can make it to the top as a fresh pair soon.
The korean pair dun cover each other well...perhaps new pairing lack of understanding Sent from my 2201123G using Tapatalk
Yeah he was clearly out of gas. And he spent way too much energy pumping out those smashes in the last few points and all just kept coming back. He needed to vary his attack.
Actually I always felt that this pair is the "inferior" pair. But they managed to exceed my expectations
But Choi sol gyu is way better than his current partner, so is Seo Seung Jae, so it makes no sense to split them up.
I think Kang min hyuk is better then Kim wan ho and SEO seung jae probably felt he could go further with Kang rather then choi. That is why I think choi and Kim is the inferior pair You can see when they play each other, SEO and Kang took the first set convincingly and they probably did not play the 2nd set so well leading to them messing up in 3rd set as well
Imo Choi has the highest top level of all 4 but is inconsistent. SSJ is always playing well but his impact is limited by how well his partner is playing since he isn’t a play maker. Kang is still young and has time to develop but he seems too square to be a world beater, at least in the play maker role. Choi is bolder and more creative (for better or for worse)
Id say Malaysia has jewel in LZJ , he is very strong and muscular. I dont think Ginting would have beaten him last week under neutral locations. He could be the one that take Malaysia 1st Gold in Olympic, it will be life changing or WC but Olympic especially.
just him is enough imo. He can handle the pressure as time goes by. Imagine if he wins OG gold, he will be revered more than LCW.
FINAL => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...B9A-A767-4C59-A18A-E9D11B313614&d=20220619&c= The dependable Zheng/Huang continue their usual business, storm into back to back tournament, outclass the completely off form Olympic Champions Wang/Huang and will take on regular foe Watanabe/Higashino next. It's should be enthralling encounter to open final day as the Japanese duo pushed the mighty Chinese into the limit last month in THA Open semifinal, both pairs understanding well each other, who can control the accuracy and taking more initiative to attack will snatch US$88,800 top prize. The vibrant Watanabe displayed his energetic move to outspeed Seo SJ yesterday while Chae YJ became weak link of the Koreans. One of most exciting semifinal ties, Tai TY had lousy start at the initial game, too passive with accumulated easy mistakes then tuning her game in second to exploit constant tricky drop shot or marvelous netplay until she passed arduous situation of this hot duel, at the verge of defeat ,18-20 she held her nerves to save five match points in second game and denies all Chinese finals. Chen YF momentum practically swung to his wonderful opponent when she failed to seal the match as she trailed to balance Taiwanese constructed rallies and quality shots in decider. Wang ZY beat one more top 10 members He BJ comfortably, the lefthander looked back into uninspiring pre-pandemic era form. Young ambitious Wang who faltered in Uber Cup last month had beaten Marin and Yamaguchi earlier and she need to face toughest hurdle to bag first ever S1000 BWF World Tour title. Fantastic duel between Axelsen and Lee ZJ as expected that unfortunately occured earlier, the thrilling part arrives at last stage to conclude the winner, just one point away for the Olympic Champion to pocket final ticket, 20-16 but the Malaysian exhibited brilliant feat to grab five consecutive points to 20-21 and amplified tension for the tall Dane, a proper test for current world's best player to show his class. Axelsen regained his focus to clinch this scintillating match, 23-21. Perhaps, Lee ZJ is the ideal opponent for Axelsen at the moment. The underdog Zhao Junpeng outmanuevers Prannoy straight-forwardly and creates giant leap of his career so far. Imbalanced drawing indirectly support his result here where top-half occupied by the in-form shuttlers recently (Axelsen, Lee, Loh, resurgent ASG) while bottom-half section consist of lacklustre players Momota & Christie, the tired Chou TC and inconsistent youngster Sen. Hopefully, no anticlimactic fashion in MS final, Zhao had defeated Axelsen once of five meetings four years ago in KOR Open. First final for former world number one Fukushima/Hirota since All England 2021, 15 months ago, delightful comeback for the Japanese post Hirota surgery. A difficult test awaits them in finale, more aggressive combination the defending champions, Matsuyama/Shida who flying high in their absence. Women's doubles is the only Japan strong department while other disciplines showing dismal outcome, mixed doubles has fluctuating result. Promoted from reserved list, Liu YC/Ou XY don't waste opportunity to improve their world ranking and no impossible to scoop 12,000 champion point today if they demonstrate excellent showing along this tournament including beat Aaron Chia/Soh WY in semifinal convincingly. Choi SG/Kim WH overcome Danish veterans Astrup/Rasmussen to create men's doubles final match which present unseeded finalists, something rare in BWF top flight event.
doubtful ZJP can beat VA WZY vs TTY should be a firecracker....hopefully MD shouls belong to CHN WD should be younger one XD CHN
Yuta need to realise that he can't just lift and lift with arisa's defense being exposed like that, gotta find some other plan.
Maybe Yuta needs to realize he’s got a dud for a partner and switch it up. Imagine what he could do with a true front-court player like Matsutomo…
such coverage and such speed whoever thought INA XD girls like Melati and Gloria stand a chance really is crazy & delusional
