Yeah, why didn't Indonesia choose Marcus Gideon to pair with Kevin, if they have a 17-1 H2H record against Satwik/Chetty? I don't understand this. Is Marcus Gideon not fit?

Overall, technically the MS-1 and MD-1 are relatively balanced.
The hunger and longing for the championship title from the Indian players became the determinant of the final result.
It seems, IND will bring home the Thomas cup this time.

Kevin's success was partnering with Gideon.

Even if you have 2 Kevins, it won't win much.

yuta is the best doubles player I’ve ever seen. And to see Kevin to play with would be a dream. He can anytime adapt himselves to Kevin’s Chaos

    You never know
You might be forgetting about Kevin’s court coverage . And if it’s two well I don’t think the shuttle’s gonna touch the ground anytime soon

Only other who can match or outplay him is Yuta

Sort of a fashion statement going on amongst young adults in India

And as GC would say "he's got film star good looks". Her words not mine.

Although IND is not the team I supported, I prefer them to win as this would popularize the game, especially with such a huge Indian population.
