Congrats Queen of 20 Olympic Champion 2 WC Medalist Chen Yu Fei for winning the first match for China.

I have to admit and appreciate the sheer determination and resillience shown by ASY well played both the players !

So sad for ASY. Why does she always get cramps at the worst time.

This is borderline legendary match. Close to Sindhu Okuhara in 2017

ASY should train to win in 2 games.
If not, she should take some bananas.

It was a bad ankle vs leg cramps. So much drama.

I think the effort and pain that both players went through will be a moral boost to BOTH teams. This will be a thriller.

Or something less organic but more effective like electrolytes. She sweated a LOT by the look of her jersey.

With ASY's defeat, the cup is as good as China's.

Why didn't asy seek medical attention earlier?

I still cannot believe PV Sindhu said it was 50 50.

    Mind blown…

Literally the most gruelling battle of attrition I’ve seen since the PVS vs NO days.

Wishing them both a full recovery.

Feel sad for ASY, she really deserve this...she's been the better player imo. very unlucky to get cramps at the worst time. credit to chen yufei though, she could easily crumble under pressure when she's 17-20 down but she didn't, some mental toughness there.

I will take this match as a determination lesson for myself, when I'm about to give up running for the shuttle feed from my coach

No crying here but my heart rated was elevated by 20 beats for the last 25 minutes of the match.

They were both probably doing much more damage to their existing injuries…but such is the price of victory at the highest level.
