Lu Guangzu was able to take one game from Axelsen. That itself is an achievement.

    Whisper after the match

    At least not 17-1.

In the second game, I'm afraid that 21-0.

I was afraid that Momota cannot take 5 points at every game. ^=^

Hmmm perhaps those miracles of science they call “air conditioners” or their close cousins “dehumidifiers”?

For a facility supposedly this modern, it really isn’t rocket science…

For sure, but I also believe his physicality has taken such a downward turn that he can't turn it around even if his mind was set in the right place. He was drenched in sweat midway into the first set, and slowed down so much by the second set and it just became a formality at that point. His smashes, which were never the strongest to begin with, is probably half as powerful as it used to be.

It's a vicious cycle that just keeps on compounding after every loss. He needs a break or something to just reset and sort himself out.

Tbh,the unfrozen world ranking is more accurate than the current BWF ranking. The top 4 players now are Axelsen,LZJ,Lakshya and LKY according to unfrozen ranking. Its quite obvious also over the past few months or even year these players are dominating.

Malaysia should also have 2 MD in the top 10 and 4 in the Top 25 if the world ranking was unfrozen.

Goh/Izzudin v Hoki/Kobayashi is so entertaining, both pairs that just want to go all out.

Wth, over hype, overreacted. Just a youngster from a strong badminton country win #1 in a not knock out match

If she's 30, #300 something for a longtime, it's a huge upset. But she's 19, unstable age. Could be #1 next year or fade away

Yes, its an upset but not that huge

Facts. If it was Chia/Soh playing right now you just know they would shrivel up and fold against this pair.

They would just let it go after losing the first game, I'd reckon. Congrats, Goh/Izzudin. They deserve praises after this.

Malaysia has a great chance to win the group and avoid strong teams now

Should be beginning to be unfrozen week by week after August, based from the article in the official website.

To me, a young nobody beating the current world champion in a major event is huge.

A la Ratchanok's unprecedented upset back in 2013 WC against Li Xuerui, the then OG2012 champion.
