They may try a variety of things like restrict the entry points, constantly run dehumidifiers, frequently change mats. But these slippery conditions are totally not acceptable Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think Ginting isnt doing well is because of change of coaches. I mean JC can straight away go 3 Finals, 2 GPG nonetheless. He shouldnt have to feel pressure now that he lost 3x. There will still be another chance and if INA lost, INA lost . The time of the defending champ till 2024 is about the same anyway.
It's looking difficult for India to come back from 0-2 deficit. Srikanth and Prannoy can win, but not sure if Srikanth would be able to play under pressure.
Kevin/ahsan just doesn't suit each other. kevin need a partner who are fast to complement his playing style, ahsan need a partner who play the shot more carefully, that's why ahsan/fajar played so well in BATC 2 years ago since fajar playing style is pretty similar to hendra.
Definitely, I don't disagree with that that. But risking another injury while recovering from an existing one and getting back into top form for a tournament - in which she most likely won't make it past the group stage - doesn't seem worth it to me...
If people say place and weather conditions for slippery court, ibwould ask them to go Switzerland , where they use yonex court and there would be no slippery at all. I am wondering what is the purpose of victor mats. Almost everybody slipped . At one point of time , sen fell down and out of frustration threw the rackets on court
At my home tourny Syed Modi they have been useing YONEX courts since as long as I could remmeber and honestly it gets more torrid here compared to Thailand and I dont remember ever seeing players literally falling and slipping on slight move or the need to wipe and mop the courts as much as I have witnessed during these matches of Thomas and Uber cup I guess it must be a combination of bad mats of Victor + Weather conditions but Id put more blame on the Victor mats.
Don't know that, but you could check it out yourself To sum up what @Zalmon and @hyun007 have stated already, Thailand has very weird weather right now. A lot of rain for the current time...
Yeah I did and it does have a few water bodies around and a river close by but I guess it shouldnt be a problem given my home badminton stadium is close to a river too but here we never witnessed such problems. As I said it seems to be a combination of Weather outside plud bad quality of Victor court mats imo
Thailand and Switzerland have totally different weather condition. Thailand is hot as hell with 70%+ humidity. Also, they are using Victor mats because Victor is the sponsor of this particular event. Maybe the mat didnt design to suit this weather. If you would wanna blame, blame the BAT. This problem is quite common in Thailand in rainy season. Most of the hall based on ground level have this slippery problems regardless the mats. I think they are well aware of it, but they need the money so bad. Just like BAM, BAT lacks of professionalism.
How do we know they didn't take those measurements already? Seems to me the only way to really solve this issue would be changing to another arena which would be associated with high costs and probably wouldn't even be possible on such short notice...
So, Malaysia wants to win Japan today to meet Indonesia in quarter final ? LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
