Watching the other stringing videos that were put up in here lately gave me the final push to do another one myself. It has been shocking 4 years since I filmed my very first one, so I guess it was about time to make an update. And to show off with my man cave while I was at it. Here it is: The pattern used is a 1-piece pattern, based on a so called Haribito Pro with some minor modifications to optimize the workflow to my liking. The latest changes I did were to only use one flying clamp and to reduce the "dancing round the handle" to zero. Counter starts the moment I'm first touching the racket and stops when it's coming free from the supports. Enjoy and feel free to ask, comment, rant or whatever makes you feel better.
Sick video!!! Different angles!! Sweet!!! How much string do you measure and how much do you measure on your short side, I might want to try!
Thanks mate! I thought if I'm going for another video, then I could as well put some effort into it. It's 8.70 m total length, the short side is a little bit less then 2 armspans. If you want the comfort of having more soft weaves towards the end, you can spend a bit more than that - sorry, I'm just cheap.
I've never managed to squeeze out more than 22 full sets from a reel. The leftover still is enough to cover the mains on a 2-piece job though.
Erm. You didn't include setting up all that AV in your time! Nice work though. Sweet setup! Sent from my SM-A315G using Tapatalk
I noticed black frame protect pad on your StringMaster Deluxe. Are you using tennis frame support for 6 o clock ?
Actually that was a leftover from one of my previous machines that I just glued on there. The first versions of the Deluxe only had load spreaders to attach to the main support which I don't prefer doing at 6 o'clock. The later versions then came with a red concave shaped support piece too.
Here's the schematic: And you really think this is easier to follow than the video? Now good luck with that.
Haribito I think is basically 1 piece and then your short side goes up 1 to B13 cross and finishes down, long side goes up 2 to B14 and finishes up. Sent from my SC-01L using Tapatalk
@s_mair has an awesome modified pattern look up Haribito Professional Pattern on YouTube, that one is really cool. I am personally a 2 piece stringer but if I tried 1 piece I might use this pattern because it is more technical. Sent from my SC-01L using Tapatalk
