No statement on the nature of the illness that I know of, but it wouldn't be a surprise if it does turn out to be COVID given how many cases there are!

All England was like a covid party. Players who coughed on court shake hand each other.

I've heard that Chou Tien Chen was positive, and we know Viktor and Chou were met in semi-final All England, then next 3 days Viktor wasn't feeling well.

He was retired in the fourth day. You know what I mean ^-^

With Axelsen out of competition due to unwell condition, MS competition practically will shrink directly, title contention is wide open for below players to seize opportunity.

The remaining four seeding players have unimpressive performance thus far, all had to dig deep to thwart their opponents to reach quarters. Interesting fact to know three of four Indian quarter finalists were former champions, Antonsen is the man to beat according to his world ranking, possible intriguing encounter to follow against Srikanth this evening.

I think MAS MD will take the title.

I don't think MAS WD will progress any further, same with MAS WS.

Looks like it will be a AA vs AG MS final after the withdrawal of VA yesterday.

Don't underestimate Prannoy. I know Ginting was good but I think Prannoy has a chance, he was the first one who can beat Viktor after Olympic.

Christie can do something like Thomas Cup last year. I don't trust Antonsen in these day.

Yes they should be, considering there are only a few big names left.
However, young Indonesian MDs can be serious challengers, Carnando/Marthin and Kusumawardhana/Rambitan are certainly motivated by the success of their young fellas in All England.

If Sindhu doesn't win this tournament, it would be disappointing. Only Supanida and Busanan can challenge her.

It's not WC, so anyone can challenge her. She barely won against Michelle Li in the second game.

He thinks only Lee zi jia can win Tournament fair and square. How ironic for a typical fan. Then I would say that win also questionable. If we take that one All England title , what else LZJ has got?. Players are working so hard to earn to what they are today. Talking something like this is really childish.
