Naah, I still believe they played very well. The tactics are of course questionable, but i still think every team under extreme pressure does these tactics. Quite happy for Reddy/Shetty today.
Bhai, Ashwini ka focus abhi sirf "make up" aur twitter tweets mein hein. She perhaps is enjoying going around the world with free funding from govts money. Tresa Jolly who partnered Gayatri looks top notch for me.
Bhai! It's good to experiment with other pairs then keep on persisting with Ashwini/Sikki Reddy. Both are absolute Zero in my opininion. Tresa jolly was excellent in her attacking skills. Gayatri i don't know, i am not her fan. But BAI needs to support and give opportunities to more players bhai, there are excellent players at the ground level. Just need to pick and train them. Just can't keep picking players just because they have more power and support (and whatever reasons). *P.S : A new national winner in MD Hariharan/Rubankumar, they were given opportunity in the Asian championships. There are players bhai, need to fund them and train them and look for more people. That will increase competition and hence automatically performance will increase at the top level.
Oh!! Didn't follow their match today All i want to say is BAI should train and give opportunities to new pairs.
Yeah. I have been talking this all along. There is no valuation process every 1 year or so like in other countries. In India. valuation process is like this. Eliminating the best MS player in the name of Selection process and play Team Events with some wannabes and lose in the Group round itself and come back to India. This is what happening in India right now. Treesha is like Rahayu in my opinion. Full of character. But today, they could not even move . Their physical condition did not withstand two consecutive tournaments . They have to build their core strength well.
You should go to the India badminton thread for that sort of discussion rather than this Swiss Open thread. link is here http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/index.php?threads/india-badminton.78823/
Lol. Sad Brian lost retired. Hope to see ginting vs va again. See if he can overcome mental block. Aa vs va final expected and shd be a good one unleas someone can upset aa.
Rankireddy/Shetty won't repeat AE quarters blunder against Minions. The newly-minted All England Champs seemed lost concentration after third game of interval break, the expectation is growing higher after their sensational story in Birmingham, interesting to wait their performance in next tours.
In almost every tournament there are so many withdrawals and the draws become so imbalanced. Why can't BWF decide the draws only a few days before? And BWF had already released seedings and draws for Korean tournaments in April. As a result, although Lakshya is WR 9 now, his previous ranking will be considered for the April tournaments.
Just watched Ellis/Smith lose in 3 to a German pair, it struck me that Marcus has lost some sharpness/accuracy - too many lifts and loose shots to the net that are getting killed easily. I wonder if he needs to play men's to maintain quality and sharpness e.g. to look for fast/flat shots instead of lifts. Thoughts?
Christo popov is a smashing machine. He used much power in the first two games in order to win in two games but could not do it. Hence he dont have legs to use his power smash in 3rd game.
He tried to play like king Lee Zii Jia. Smashing to finish the match, in deciding game, he's out of gas, haha. Popov lost like the way king Lee Zii Jia lost last week. Out of gas.
