Watanabe is arguably the best doubles player in the world right now, with that being said he's not really on top of his game today, but he played much better in the 2nd game.

Yuta needs to give his prize money to Arisa. Except for a brief period in the second game she was the MVP.

True, so 3...that's pretty impressive still considering he's only 24.

Yuta was non-existent for most part of the match except for some moments of extraordinary defence and a couple of winning drops. His mistakes could have been costly if it weren't for WYL and his equally poor showing on the other side of the net.

Yeah WYL was very lacklustre today, not sure why, not great body language. Watanabe made a few errors on the left side of the court although they were close and good ideas overall. He’ll get those wow shots next time.

Arisa was the difference, she look like prime kevin in the first game except for the fact that she barely made any mistake.

Yeah man. WYL and HDP always show this kind of body language whenever they are losing. You should see the HK Open 2018 finals. They were bickering even.

Can't believe people say that WYL is better than ZSW, I don't care about the variation that these commentators are talking about, ZSW are a much much superior player and china made a big mistake by splitting zheng/huang

HDP was fine imo, she was carrying the pair the whole way. WYL normally looks more energised recently I thought, even in a losing position. They were probably losing too much to ZSW/HYQ in 2018, but their morale shouldn’t have been anywhere as bad here. Weird

Must be HDP, umpire called for misconduct for her. But to her defense, that service call at 18-17 was huge, especially considering Watanabe has already faulted his return.

Higashino plays like Kevin without defence, but she was improved her defence.
