If you want to replace the side supports by Chudek, contact Michal Chudek (michal.chudek at gmail.com). I checked, i got lower version (not higher !), 30mm.
Some shortening is fine - 2 mm is not excessive. Your side-support locations are perfect; they should be outside the outermost mains at both the top and the bottom. You should try re-tightening the 6 o'clock support (just to touching) after pulling the first two mains - you will always get 2-3 mm of play, especially if you use a load spreader.
just wanted to say, I watched your video on grommets. Flanging them using a puncher workd like a charm. Thanks for the pro-tip.
Great to hear that you liked the tip! I’m still using the cold press pliers and I couldn’t be happier. Takes 2 seconds per grommet, no hassle with cords, heat and stuff and the result looks really good as well. Highly recommended!
