They're actually quite powerful especially compared to minions, their problem is they're weak mentally especially rian. I've been saying fajar would be the AE champion 2 years ago if he had gideon as his partner isntead of rian You nailed it, they lack the x factor because how can you play so well like in 2018 AG and 2019 AE and still lost. I blame rian for the most part.
Pornpawee Chochuwong denies Yamaguchi-An SY regular duel in many recent tours amid the absence of several top names, the Thai persistent fight and more aggressive tactic brought her into S1000 semifinal, the Japanese looked weary and slower in deciding game indicating she’s already exhausted, her agility and accuracy waned. The All England runner-up has tough challenge to progress, Korean rising star An Se Young who outclasses Chaiwan once again in two quick games. Other semifinal will look forward two high profile players duel, both Sindhu and Intanon clear the underdogs Sim YJ and Asuka Takahashi respectively and displaying they’re not in good shape yet but experience aspect have contributed their winning over the stubborn newcomers. What a consistency and hungry for victory by top-two seeds Puavaranukroh/Taerattanachai and Watanabe/Higashino as well despite fatigue and saturation have arrived. Strong determined reigning AE Champs beat the below-par Tang CM/Tse YS who demonstrating sluggish performance throughout this encounter. Danish combination Christiansen/Boje eliminate three home pairs in a row, something wrong happened to INA camp in this category notably Jordan/Oktavianti deteriorated form. Korean dark horses Ko SH/Eom HW keep their incredible run and being off the radar but have produced significant outcome in Bali. MS quarterfinals offer unusual less quality encounters, two of them completed with one way traffic when Axelsen and Loh KY displayed superiority to their opponents meanwhile Jonatan Christie advancing into last four without any sweat following Antonsen walkover due to pectoral muscles problem. Only Gemke-Nishimoto involved in hard-fought battle, the third-ranked Dane prevails, trying to be patient to respond the Japanese long rallies style and it worked. Singaporean Loh might capitalise his chance to grab final spot here and open his prospect to secure a place for next week World Tour Finals. Korea women's doubles new generation, 2017 World Junior Champions Baek Ha Na/Lee Yu Rim start their journey in senior stage, defeat more-fancied compatriots Kim SY/Kong HY in exactly 100 minutes grueling match and take on last week INA Masters champions Matsuyama/Shida. On lower half draw, the Olympic Champions find Thailand familiar tests Kititharakul/Prajongjai, the former were stretched into physically demanding match before conquered JPN scratch duo Matsumoto/Sakuramoto. INA brings eight combinations here but only the Minions once again survived until semifinal, disappointment result repeated by the stagnant Alfian/Ardianto who can’t keep their momentum instead to let Koga/Saito dictating the game. On good note the back-up pair Kusumawardana/Rambitan spark glimpse of hope, positive development to contend with top pairs in high level competition. Japan has booked one final berth as the full-confident Hoki/Kobayashi score another victory over Astrup/Rasmussen in three games.
Powerful is an overstatement I guess. Because they could not win points using their smash. Japanese pair easily defended . When compared to other MD pairs, they are less powerful. That's what I meant and even commentators were saying the same yesterday as all the 4 players lacked killer smash.
Good WS, Thai women seem to have finishing problem. RAT and Chocuwong blinking at critical points after fighting hard.
I like both XD pairs but prefer KO/EOM to progress because as independent players. they need the prize money.
DechapolSapsiree eating good these days. I think they are the one that gained the most from the CHN absence.
10 years ago at 24 years of age, Ko would have pummeled his way to a win in that match. But nowadays, Ko/Eom have to win it in 2 games against top seeds. If it goes to 3, Ko is gassed by the mid-game interval.
Yeah. If Yuta and Arisa participated in the January Thailand leg of tournaments earlier this year, the Thais might not have won anything.
Today is actually 1 of the match i’m really confident Minions will win. Shetty RR is really nervous at the end, some critical errors by the MAS pairs at the last point. Had they won G2, you feel they will win the match. Their footwork is slower and they are just loitering and wiping the floor using their shoes after each point esp Shetty. i dont know if its habit, they cant sweat more than the MAS pair after RR wear leggings and Shetty wearing headbands. Should really take that habit away from them. They are better than that.
If Watanabe/Higashino don't stop Thai's pair in many final matches, they even can set an all time score record. ^-^ BWF's error, French Open 2019 is the 11th tournament, which will not be counted.
Hi guys, Wonder if you know why the Chinese are not here in Bali, there's no explanation for their absence and when will they participate again. Without their participation you feel the tournament loses some of the top players and those who win in Bali might not have won, if the Chinese were there. Also can't see French Open MD champions here; where is Shin Baek and notice his MD partner Ko is playing XD!
