It depends on China now who they send for MS1.
Their scratch pairings will have a hard time against the regular pairings

With Shi Yuqi possibly not playing MS1, Team CHN maybe forced to play Lu Guangzu first (WR27), followed by Li Shifeng (WR65), then Weng Hongyang (WR148).

No doubt, Team INA will field its current line-ups.

He was all smiling and laughing at the post-match interview, very weird. Also saying "I didn't technically lose": you did though? Retire = win for your opponent.

    Very strange behaviour

The interviewer was so agressive haha

Yes, I was laughing at that when I heard it...
I was pretty pissed too ... he is like, "too bad"...
but nope, it's a lost and worst it makes you look bad with a retirement at 20-5 and it will stay in your record ...

Seriously, I'd rather not see Shi Yuqi play tomorrow's final. Anyone except him.

Much better to give Lu Guangzu a chance though he too is unreliable, unsteady , not expected to do " the impossible", if you know I mean (stun VA, that is).

Sadly, SYQ is "crippled", LGZ is not hopeful and Team CHN is left with two other youngsters, both making their debut appearances, still very green, untried, untested, for such an important world team championship. How did CHN MS end up is this sorry state, not to mention their MDs which is not any better.

Team INA clearly has the upper hand over CHN - their two MDs for sure, and they just need to win one of the three MS, I see little problem for them.

I mean, whether you believe it or not, the Chinese coaches never thought to go so far in the Thomas Cup, already exceeded their expectations. Me too.

So Team INA had better make the most of their chances tomorrow or there won't be a next time where CHN is not sending their full force.

    Seriously he said so?

and yes BWF should investigate. It caused the betting of the match to be voided.

The BWF site seems to be down at the moment. But from the Wiki page:

"The 2021 BWF World Championships (officially known as the TotalEnergies BWF World Championships 2021 for sponsorship reasons) is a badminton tournament which will be held from 12 to 19 December 2021 at Palacio de los Deportes Carolina Marín in Huelva, Spain."

You go read the t and c of the badminton betting sites when retired given.

A lot of people betting momota to win. Retired means no win by momota.

Badminton is also under control by match fixing like football. Cant hide. Sad. ;)

The ccp govt must take actions on corrupted people.

Put this statement on china website or forums pls. We need clean players. ;)

I feel like JPN has more to offer had they got into the Final and even i dare say, that JPN is favourite. and now that CHN without SYQ.

LiuWang looked really nervous to end the match, they were leading the whole of G2. Had JPN won that game, its all over imo. Feels like the weaker team advanced to the Final.

As far as I'm aware, BWF never hold the World Championship in the Olympic year, so even though the Tokyo OG was actually postponed from last year, it's still unlikely as the OG doubles up as the WC, in fact even more prestigious.

Besides, as the World Tour Finals is in December (no change), how to hold the World Championships in the same month, to close even if it's a month or two apart?

Well if the coaches do decide to field him as MS1, really hope he doesn't pull this crap again. Disheartening to see him doing this.
