I have been using the voltric 80 since 2015 and wanted to know what is the current successor or replacement to it. I started to play badminton again so I want to have a backup raquet just in case this one breaks. I recently demo'd the astrox 88d which people say is a hard hitter. But coming from my years on the v80 it does not pack the same punch nor have the same solid feel when hitting. It forsure is lighter but the head is certainly not as heavy feeling.

I think as99 would be closer to vt80 than 100zz. 100z is more like all around head heavy but 99 is suppose to be more hammer; more than 88d pro for sure. as99 pro will be released in a month. I would recommend trying that.

Paul Stewart's stated his favorite racket was the Voltric 80 but now plays with the 100zz. Take that with what you will
