No worry, losing to Indonesia will not trigger a gigantic reaction compare to other nations.

Was it the match fixing from the Chinese in London 2012 or something like that?

The Chinese pair holds the advantage...but but....INA pair beat them twice in two successive World Championships QF (2018, 2019). That shows the INA pair's mettle against the higher-seeded CHN pair. Note that the CHN pair was the reigning World Champions themselves in 2017 when they met in that QF match one year later.

I do not want to take anything away from the enormity of Indonesia's victory here, but in all honesty, FukuHiro were not in a condition to make any progress in these Olympics.

Yeah and greysia was actually one of the 8 players who get disqualified from that event, quite a journey for her tbh. first that scandal at london, then her old partner (nitya) got injured badly and had to retire because of it, greysia herself was actually close to retire until the coach decided to pair her with the young rahayu at sudirman cup in 2017.

Forget standing up, folks are probably still screaming and chanting back in Indonesia (no rally though...dang PPKM).

All this because Juhl/Pedersen defeated Qing/Yunlei in the group match.
Qing/Yunlei are truly superior back then. Eliminating 4 biggest competitors by losing the game. Bahaha

I tear when I see both the Chinese pair and ina pair cried during the prize ceremony. They must have been through a lot. I am a 48yr old man. Chen apologise to Jia for not playing well today. I like the girls truly show their emotions.

And with that, Greysia become the oldest women to win Gold + Medallist in Olympic slightly older than when ZhangNing did when she won Beijing OG

When all hope seemed lost, the badminton gods have smiled upon us : )

Congrats to Polii and Rayahu! Hope, belief and spirit... through every point to victory today.

Just when it looked like team INA would head home in anguish... the fairytale ending comes true.
