    5-21 in the decider.

It takes atleast One Olympics to get used to the Olympics Pressure.

Do not write hate comments on his IG now. He will get better.

    Article in the Star :
    https://www.thestar.com.my/sport/ba...jia-vows-to-return-stronger-in-paris-olympics
The Star mentioned the right hand/wrist injury which quite a number Msian fans noticed.

Post match interview in Astro. From 2.30 min
The gist of it LZJ said Chen Long kept changing strategy which made it more difficult for him. This is LZJ 1st Olympics he gave all he got although the results not very good.
Good experience & he sees many aspects that he need to improve.

If the Olympics was last year, he wouldn’t have been playing. He’s managed to fit in an extra chance at the Olympics.

hopefully Covid will be over by next year, and that gives him two years preparation for Paris. Almost perfect time.

Momota is not going to let 2024 off so easily. Momota better not be world.no.1 when 2024 comes. Else jinx. Lol ;)

I won't belittle Lee Zijia's potential, or you may have to eat your words one day - he plays best with his free flowing attacking badminton coupled with superb defense when under no or little pressure of the burden of expectation.

If it's true that LZJ has difficulty coping with Chen Long's frequent change of strategy throughout the match, that can be put down to lack of experience, assuming he's not under too much pressure to perform, which can affect his game even more, mentally.

At age 23, he still has plenty of time on his side, and if LCW, Hendrawan and Tey Seu Bok continue to mentor him, together with his perseverance and hunger for success, having tasted All England triumph, he will go far, I should think so.

Looking forward to LZJ - Momota rematch tomorrow in Sudirman Cup semi finals.
LZJ needs to cut down in mistakes, and not be too eager to win as he did in the first game two days ago.
Also, a little less predictability in shots would help. I am rooting for you LZJ :)

Allow me to repost my comment in the tournament thread here:

" The reason why I wanted so much to see a rematch of LZJ vs KM is that I think LZJ, though admittedly not yet at KM's level, on his day does have the game to trouble KM.

Specifically, LZJ didn't play the way I expected of him the other day and I hoped he does the second time round, which he did today. Keep it up. Way to go, LZJ."

To add, this is the second time he's beaten Momota in their last three meetings, proof positive it isn't by fluke as Momota didn't play badly on both occasions. And while I'm not prepared to rate LZJ too highly, I certainly won't make the mistake of underrating him either.

Obviously he still has quite a bit of room for improvement and definitely hasn't reach his full potential yet. So, I hope he doesn't let such successes get into his head, it's still early days, what with just one All-England title to speak of, as there's still a lot of hard work waiting for him to do.

Lee Zii Jia, be persistent, be humble, be practical and realistic, and pursue your goals single-mindedly.

His progression has been quite significant in less than 2 years, more than his sheer level today, I am interested in his progression. If he keeps progressing, he might become a serious contender for Paris 2024.

Maybe a single World Tour title is a good target this year, it will do his confidence well.
