Why is no one excited for Christie vs SYQ?

Is it me or do you guys believe the reason why many of the Japanese players didn't play as many people expected how they played is due to their first Olympics? Being Matsu/Naga, Momota, and Watanabe/Higashino (I can't count the Fuku/Hiro pair since Hirota is injured.)?

Cordon takes the first game 21-17. He's playing with a lot of courage, and is winning at the net at the moment

I actually like Shi Yu Qi's stroke and playstyle. I hope he makes his match against Christie exciting. :):D

Glad there's someone giving the pair some credit for stepping up in the big event. :)

KC is down 3-11 now in G2, maybe he should do an Antonsen and throw the game away?

Caljouw is up 11-3 in the second set. Seems like Cordon has huge problemss controlling the drift on this side. Looking like it's going to be a 3 set match

Caljouw wins second game 21-3. It will be interesting to see if KC has more to give in this match

Bummer. Coming back from this far behind, they definitely deserved it. But in the end the Korean girls were better I guess.
