Okay so I was wrong about the Taiwanese pair - good show!

Looking at their form - I see a very difficult match for Ahsan / Setiawan unless they're able to neutralise the Taiwanese pair's attack.

Endo was really scared on that last point.

    His smash were too venomous
    His defense too unpredictable
And his mentality on big points saved the frozen Wang CHE LIN

    Congratulations

Most of Endo's high serves today ended up as a point for Taiwan. I don't know why he persisted with the high serve, especially at 20-19. And Watanabe was only mediocre today, in both his MD and XD matches. Watanabe was good in the 1st set of his XD match today, when he won 22-20. After that set, he has only been mediocre the entire day, compared to his All England form.

Yuta/endo decided to be more proactive when it was simply too late, they were too busy lifting the shuttle for 1 and a half set

Kento Momota, Yuta Watanabe, Hiroyuki Endo, and Arisa Higashino (?) out of the Olympics. :(

Wait for mixed doubles does Watanabe and Higashino qualify for bronze medal match?

I totally disagree. Yuta has been THE best player across all doubles. Unfortunately, he didn't get a pair who could support him a lot better. As for today with Endo it was obvious that he would be down from the earlier defeat. That is the normal repercussion of playing in 2 disciplines.

Honestly I'm feeling pretty confident against wang/lee tomorrow, WCL usually crumble under pressure when he's being targeted by ahsan/hendra but we'll see

Error prone Setiawan can't live with the pace, imho. All depends on how Godly Mohd. A is

Expected 1 medal in MD from JPN. Endo just so nervous towards the end, What to do. But i think Endo plays better than Yuta today.

now waiting for ChenLong vs LZJ

I knew Endo was going to flick on that last serve.
