A European professional player told me she is dating English men's doubles player Ben Lane and therefore went to England. Don't know if it's true or hearsay but why would she go to England for fitness and nutrition? I'm sure she has the funds to arrange those things at home...
@Baddie lover I am right, although I thought it would be Sean Vendy, and Ben Lane would be way below her league.
In the news Kidambi Srikanth suffers broken nose, a lot of nose bleeding due to Thailand Official's Covid testing procedure.
PV before the tournament said 'I am in best shape and form now', we know that's not the case and she knows that too, who is she trying to conveince ? I just hope she is atleast true to herself and recognizes the reality. Denial of reality can be the beginning of doom.
It was interesting that during game 2 interval someone shouted in proper telugu 'Kangarupadaku Sindhu' which means 'Don't hurry too much'. It is interesting because no spectators, and only telugu person possible there is Srikanth who will play next match.
Positive play after a long time, should impart some confidence for next two days. I am curious about who is constantly yelling wisdom in Telugu between rallies.
I would say Toby Penty would match Sindhu better than any other englishmen there Sent from my SM-T820 using Tapatalk
Seems like Sindhu is on a dip in form since her WC win in 2019. If my memory is correct, even in the tournaments that followed the WC in 2019, her form started dipping immediately after it. Maybe Sindhu will pull a Lin Dan or Carolina Marin, where they perform at the big tournaments (ie. Olympics or WC). Lin Dan had a knack of performing below his best in the Super Series (LCW won most of the SS), but he came up big at the Olympics or WC. Similarly, I think Carolina Marin struggled at the Super Series in 2017 to 2018, but she showed up to win the WC in 2018.
She did not win any tournaments in 2019. But won World Championships in 2019. She definitely raises to the occasion.
Your post got moved to this thread where you might get more replies. There’s no point asking about her jacket in a thread for racquets
This Olympics is a good a chance as ever for PV Sindhu. There won't be Marin, her nemesis, there to stop her. And if PV Sindhu can up her game, I recall her beating TTY back in the 2019 WC, on her way to winning the 2019 WC. So even if PV Sindhu meets TTY, there is a path for PV Sindhu to beat TTY (compare this to say if Viktor Axelsen meets Momota - I don't think Viktor can beat Momota because Viktor has a mental block against Momota). Best of luck to PV Sindhu and her fans in India.
I was reading the thread predictions for gold. No one is predicting Sindhu for gold. I understand the reason thanks to Sindhu form I'll be damned if Sindhu wins the gold touchwood and makes everyone's prediction wrong lol.
