Protection of course could be a reason. I rarely go over 28/30 lbs however...
If protection is my concern I drop the PS first.

Can anyone compare the frames of +1 and +2 lb on the cross when strung by local shops? Do most authorized dealers string +1 or +2 lb on the cross?

Depends on the machine and authorized dealer don't mean always a competent stringer. I did by myself everything. square, +10%, +2lbs +1lbs, proportional on cross. According to the frames of my own rackets the difference turned out maginal compared to unstrung. square turn out tiny wider, 1lbs on my machine spot on and 2lbs tiny narrow, while 10% turn out a bit narow. Proportional on cross emphasize the Iso shape a bit more. I also observed that the difference on some frames is more noticeable than on others. A few cheaper Dunlop, Kawasaki and Gosen turned on my machine at +1lbs a bit narrow, so I switched to square for them. My guess is the softer material which make them more prone for deformation. Dirtcheap Aluminium frames come out significant better at square tensions as well.

Of what use would that information be? Local to one person is useless to anyone who doesn't live in that area. As previously mentioned, authorized dealer doesn't mean anything, they can still do garbage string jobs. Most Yonex-schooled stringers using a Yonex machine will go for even tension, no addition on the crosses...

The Yonex Stringing Team strings with + 1lbs (0,5kg) on the crosses for the pros as standard.

    22lbs x 23lbs ~ 22,7 x 22,7 lbs on my 6-point machine for good rackets.

don't blindly follow any rules of +1lb, +2lb, +10%, etc. they are very dependent on the machine and the stringer's flow. some machines are stiffer than others and different machines will require different amount of compensation. ppl stringing on a Yonex ES machine will likely need little to no compensation because the machine is so solid. While cheaper machines that flexes more will require more to compensate.

the idea is to maintain the racket's shape and more important, to achieve a main/cross tension ratio that will give the best feel for the racket.

My stringer(s) do +1lbs for every racket as per Yonex recommendation during their training as they told me.

I met Maurice a few years at the YGO. I asked what they do as default and they all do 1lbs/0.4kg on the cross. I'm every year there and they kept 1lbs/0.4 as standard.

I'm at approx 1.2 lbs for most jobs.
    But relative.
So +.9 on the flexy ones, and up to 1.5 on the harder ones..

    Approx. +5% I'd say.

I would do 24x26, but why do you switch from square to +2lbs? I would try +1lbs first and suggest 25x26.

Hmmm. I personally think that ratio is not an exclusive feel thing, it's also related to the machine and the shape of the racket which come out. If you request 2lbs on my machine, I would warn you that the racket come out longer than unstrung. If your racket came out at square tension spot on, 2lbs can be too much, so I would suggest to try 1lbs first. If your smash don't have much power with BG66UM, the job is a mess/tension too high, the string is dead, you play a racket you can't wield or it's your technique. All 4 don't get overcome with a different ratio.

Your racket will be safe no matter what, when you're stringing +0, +1 or +2 in the below 30s.
It's a matter of feel, preference, but most of all machine and stringer.
Therefore you will not be able to get the answer you're looking for, in an internet forum.
    Just try it out.
The suggestion for you was to try out +1 if you have been used to +0, instead of going all opposite with +2.

Hello Kwun, I wonder why stringers have to scratch onto cross string once finishing stringing ?

Can this cause losing the tension of cross string ?

You prob want to be more specific on what you mean “scratch onto racquet” before any one can answer your question. Because I have never heard of that term before.
