reading stuffs until page 30 of this thread wow, looks like VA against LZJ is tight Will watch the match after this then haha
Kudos to Axelsen. Down 18-14 after this amazing rally, I thought it was over for him, but he kept fighting.
LZJ lost his composure when he was up 18-14. I attribute that to his inexperience and nerves being in the final and almost about to win something as big as the AE. If it were Lin Dan, he would not lose his composure at 18-14 and about to win the entire tournament. Also, I don't think it would happen to Momota as well in a SS final (but I can't say if Momota will fold under pressure at the Olympics). This is something LZJ can learn. Viktor Axelsen was notorious for getting nervous and losing in the finals of SS. And then he won the his first major SS title against Tian Houwei in the SS finals in Dubai. After that, Viktor learned to keep his nerves in the finals.
This is the best men singles game I have seen in long time. So much tension ! Did not think Axelsen had it in him to comeback. He played really smart, pushes to the deep forehand, tight net shots return
LZJ gained my respect now, he has sublime, relaxed defense that is upsetting VA combine that with best fitness of his life+varied attack + net skills, and VA in zombie mode.
