Still awaiting more solid reviews. The volant one was like yeah it's about the same (the 88s pro) but then others say it's radically different. Regardless, I am not good enough to unlock power for both but still lol
My sincere condolences.... This might be a bit insensitive but would u care to share any thoughts on the racquet before its demise?
not sure if i should syphaty you for your broken new racket or gratz you coz you are equally powerfull as VA. Or the new Astrox 88S really makes one skill double or triple.
What is the shaft thickness of these 88d/s pro? It says extra slim. Does that mean it is 6.4mm? or is it same as original 88d/s? Thanks in advance!
is this cause of the new material can't handle the monster power when it made by thinner layers. or just product defects. more customers need to proves..
it may be due to qc issues thus this kind of problem happens rarely. the astrox 100zz that axelson broke, I have an astrox 100zz too. still serving me well with no defects. so I suspect it's just a qc issue and the person who experienced this, was just unlucky Sent from my SM-N981B using Tapatalk
Hmmmm, I shall wade in with my 2 cents since everyone has one and then some. Apart from the possibility that this could be a lemon or a early production issue where the kinks don't get ironed out yet, Don't forget this is the also due to the organic substance holding the racket, the way it's used. AKA the damn human. Not like this thing snapped during transit and was presented in two halves during unboxing. I have seen people who can't get a drop shot (nothing on old folks, exercise is good, but doing it wrongly is just an injury is waiting to happen) lunge wrongly forwards, both feet running forward, backbone in a fetal position leaning front, nearly gonna fall and smash their face into the net that kind, and use their racket as a support cane on the ground, racket bends, then SNAP. Oh boy you should see how they blame how "not durable" their racket is. I saw how Momota's AX99 curl during his retrieval of smashes and with Sonoda trying to stop himself falling over with his AX88D-P, the break point in the picture seems like the perfect area where it would snap. In Axelsen's case it's the cone so its an actual point of failure, this looks suspiciously like misuse. To me at least. Hope for the best for a exchange, it's not chump change and breaking so fast does dent the mood somewhat. Not that I got a bone to pick, but using it as a support cane to take the shuttle low, and hope for a tight net cord shot, technically fits under the "no clash" reasoning. Also, personal personal unpopular opinion, hot bloody take; I dislike and despise others' "hybrid" stringing with mixing colors of the same string with crosses and mains, and personal mixing of strings like 66UM and 80 should be done with the same color to not be so obvious. Low profile is my jam. I just need to know myself, no need to show the world. But I agree with their thinking, if I can't play like a pro, at least die trying to look good, right? And the final comeback argument "my money my racket my choice" is the ultimate end-all endgame of arguments.... sure, whatever floats your cajones.
At the moment no comparison between the different versions of the 88 series. Can any FEEL the difference? Or will YY make the cheap 2 play worst to justify the high cost of the Pro version. So far lots of hype...but is it worth the money. Maybe get the old 88 at a cheap price will be way better deal. Sent from my SM-N986B using Tapatalk
I have reserved 88s pro 4u after I see racket broke in 2 piece at the shaft... Nvm I will update soon
The tour version is a hundred bucks cheaper than the pro version over here. It looks like great value on paper tbh.
RF had release their measurement. So the new 88D wont be as powerfull as the old one, but new 88S abit more powerfull.
Meanwhile I can definitely appreciate the smashes from Sonoda definitely have a lot more bite than before, this guy has definitely improved his smash, or maybe the slightly more flexible shaft of 88D pro is helping a bit in the generation of power.
the measurements they released was only 4u though. I'm waiting for the 3u version Sent from my SM-N981B using Tapatalk
