not in high expectation yet, wait and see whether this pair can beat any China, Japan, Thailand, Korea & Indonesia pairs or not...

Watched their game against the English pair last night. They did a lot of jump smash. Hope they have enough stamina to continue against better defensive opponents. Their next 3 opponents are likely to be
all Japanese pairs, that is if they progress.

for them to get even this far.. is already beyond expectations.. Good luck with the japanese they play a completely different style compared to them. This clash of style should be interesting though

well as predicted... the Japanese were too experienced for them. But they came close. 3 sets in an all England quarter finals ain't bad all. Looking forward to them doing better.

This pair has certainly come a long way. Their good showing in the current Uber cup is testament. The weak link is still Thinaah...but oh my! How has she improved!! Do Keep it up!!

Pearly looks more solid in smashing and defence. Thina needs to buckup a bit.

Just like Teo and Ong, Ong used to be weak link. My suggestion was to partner Teo and Woon Yik. I guess both of the weaker players must have heard my whisper... now the bucked up a bit. Aaron smash is still like chicken smash. Teo and Woon standard gone down a bit. I wonder why? ;)

Top 10 is because they entered many tournaments and beat some kucing kurap pairs in the earlier rounds.
Same like Eei Hui and Pei Thy before. They were WR#1 but didn't win any significant titles.

Pearly has amazing talent. She should play XD if she wants to go far. It is very difficult to find women badminton players of her calibre in Malaysia to win anything of note in WD.

Although as a player, she's still not perfect, I agree that the pairing is solid. Thinaah's improvement has been nothing but phenomenal. A perfect fit for Pearly's super aggressive style. Maybe if she could absorb some of Pearly's killer instinct and creativity a bit more.

Wouldn't it be great if we can clone Pearly?

But seriously, Thinaah is the weak link in this partnership and all their opponents know it and capitalize on it, as they should if they were smart. She has to improve her defence and cut down her unforced errors, and not to mention her weak serves...

Maybe she’s already stepping up to the challenge?

Sports is performance is difficult to predict. A player may be fairly static for many years, and then suddenly raise their game….or not at all.

Wei Nan playing for HK was ordinary with results for a number of years, as a result had to fund some competitions out of his own pocket. Then he had a purple patch getting good results.
