FINALS (11.00am) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...DDD6E1-4494-4C9D-BA9C-A74ADD0F36AC&d=20210307 European pairs are catching up, this sign has been emerged in last several tournaments including today's final where French young sensations book third S300 final after Barcelona Spain Masters 2020 and US Open 2019. Gicquel/Delrue knock out more experienced Tan KM/Lai PJ that showed tenacity battle in opening game then faltered in the second, everything went wrong by MAS new independent duo while their opponent playing comfortably, getting better and better. Denmark perhaps could await Christiansen/Boje to continue their famous predecessor footstep, Fischer-Nielsen/Pedersen. 2020 Saarlorlux Open winners overcome English couple Ellis/Smith in rubber games. Stoeva sisters are hot favourite to nail WD crown, solid defense and hard attacking smashes become key factor to conquer Thailand number one Kititharakul/Prajongjai. The Bulgarians will take on Malaysian promising debutants Pearly Tan/Muralitharan who score inspiring outcome in Asian Leg last January. Men's singles final will confront current dominant figure against next generation star. Sixth final in a row for Viktor Axelsen in the absence of two-time World Champion Kento Momota, he's in incredible form and highly confident in every tournament since All England victory last year to vanquish opponents including semifinal rival here, Kidambi Srikanth who found good rhythm at middle of second game to narrow the gap slowly, pushing Axelsen into the limit and had chance to force rubber games if the Indian didn't commit uncharacteristic errors at crucial moment. New kid on the block, Kunlavut Vitidsarn exploits his potential to subdue Lee Zii Jia who ran out of idea to halt three-time World Junior Champion cruise control in second game. A big upset saw top-seed Aaron Chia/Soh WY tackled by the unseeded Lamsfuss/Seidel yesterday, the Malaysians still inconsistent, can't handle the pressure well rather than choked at the end, should be disappointing outing for the pair who're expected to be one of the world beaters. The German pair will face familiar foes Astrup/Rasmussen who play effectively to tame Indian combo Rankireddy/Shetty in two straight-games. The most anticipated and prestige showdown in final day pits reigning Olympic Champion Carolina Marin versus recent World Champion Pusarla Sindhu. In semifinal, Sindhu almost slipped first set plot as Blichfedlt saved three game points, after pocketing one game victory the Indian is unstoppable in second game, showing her advantage and leaving frustration for the Danish player. More thrilling WS match was demonstrated later on, the persistent Pornpawee Chochuwong gave Marin a run for her money as she grabbed four consecutive points to delay the mighty Spaniard triumph. Nearly déjà-vu in third game, Marin secures her final berth with narrow margin, 21-19. On paper prediction, it's tough chance to stem the on-fire top-seed from the title, a first final for Sindhu after August 2019 at same venue when she created history for India badminton, will Basel deliver a lucky charm once again for Sindhu?

Errrr that is a bit unexpected.....aggressive, attacking play but also good defence Oh well a little bright spot for MAS camp after yesterdays' 4 deads....
VA seems to have turned on zombie mode on at 7-10 in game 1, shot quality/accuracy of Kunlavut reminds me of Momota. Attack, defence sure may be not in Momota league.
pearly front court smash quite good, unlike last time former MAS mumber 1 Vivian/Woon, unable to finish the point in front court smash...
Frustrating to see Viditsarn's attack so weak after a great display of skill in first half of game 1. Think he'll easily be top 3 as he grows and gets physically stronger
yea skill wise Kunlavut is amazing just needs a bit more power (actually quite more), since he has really big troubles scoring points himself, so he has to wait for mistakes, but you can do it only if your are not making them as well, and it is not the case today
Not a single winner hit by Vitidsarn in Game 2 until 20-4. 2 unforced errors, a service error, and a between the legs shot from VA
Does VA intentionally play some of those awfully high short services? I wonder if that has something to do with his game strategy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bwf seemed to have changed the video streaming quality, they are trying a more cinematic feel for the swiss open atleast. Lighting and video quality are **** though even in 2021
Steen keeps mentioning road to Tokyo points will be used to determine the seeding at Tokyo Olympics. Can someone confirm it? If I’m not wrong, general ranking points were used to determine seeding in the last Olympics. Not sure though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sindhu after a long time reached the final. But making so many errors. She is not at all reached her world championships 2019 form
Carolina was on point today. What a defeat to remember for lifetime. Sindhu should work harder, if she wants to win Gold in Olympics.
