    SEMIFINALS (11.00am) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/tournament/matches?id=5BDDD6E1-4494-4C9D-BA9C-A74ADD0F36AC
    • The highly anticipated teenager and future star to watch out, Kunlavut Vitidsarn sneaks into semifinal round and will challenge Lee Zii Jia who regains his self-belief gradually. Lee overcome Sai Praneeth in relative comfortable fashion, thanks to the Indian numerous elementary mistakes. Viktor Axelsen has little trouble in opening game to meet unfamiliar rival Rhustavito, once the Dane had analysed his opponent gameplan in second set, current All England champion storm pasts Indonesian number 3 with an ease. Interesting to wait whether former world number one Kidambi Srikanth could balance the in-form Axelsen who looks formidable at the moment.
    • Carolina Marin perhaps retaining her 2015 form slowly, more steady and ambitious including how she disposes Zhang Beiwen who unables to equalize the Spanish ace quick movement particularly disguising shot at front area. The Olympic Champion takes on Thai youngster Pornpawee Chochuwong who lost tamely to her high-calibre opponent in last two previous encounters. More engaging tie will pit second seed Pusarla Sindhu against Mia Blichfeldt, the Indian mega star never score impressive result since won World Championships gold medal here in Basel. The well-improved Blichfeldt outclasses Phittayaporn Chaiwan who created upset in first two days of this tournament.
    • All four quarterfinal men's doubles matches completed in three games, this category shows very intense and dynamic competition. World number 9 Aaron Chia/Soh WY fulfill their top billing, defeating Indonesian "new stars" Carnando/Marthin who fail to stay composed in crucial stages, they did well to narrow the gap in deciding game but can't manage consistency till the end. German combination Lamsfuss/Seidel are surprising semifinalists among Asian dominance.
    • Malaysia, Thailand seize momentum to earn best outcome in the absence of Japan, Korean and China regular foes. Kititharakul/Prajongjai who showed stunning feat at home soil last January probably could top podium here as long as they bring A game to face the solid Bulgarians Stoeva sisters. Mixed doubles discipline indicates the resurrection of European players starting to beat Asian representatives, the most fantastic duo are none but French latest talents Gicquel/Delrue.

Gicquel and Delrue showing strongly, very in sync with each other against Tan and Lai. Delrue's defense has improved since the Thailand tournaments in January!

Victor has strong smash on his round the head side. But still srikanth keep on returning the shuttle to Victoria's round the head just to lose the point. How many times?.
    Didnt he learn from it?

Either SK didn’t want to win this match or he had a “really really” (steen’s voice) bad strategy to win it

Btw, VA doesn’t look too strong to me. That was an under firing, and uninspired SK taking him close to 3 games. May be, an off day for VA?!?

Basically KS started reading the game late, he did well to put VA under pressure after that.
And yes VA is no god and KS and other players should realize that after this and also WTF Final loss.

LZJ lost to Thai young star Kunlavut, last time beat him 2 times, now first time lost to him, thus h2h is 2-1 for now...
and hope LZJ faster regain his high confidence on next week AE tournament, as how LCW did starting from mid-year 2007 till his retirement in year 2018...

I honestly think Vitidsarn will quickly be on the top MS players.

His potential is extra ordinary, with 3 junior world championship.

Pornpawee Chochuwong is becoming a force to be reckoned with. I know most top players are absent but she has really improved over the last few months or so

Let him be . Plz , i have seen many Malaysians comparing him to LCW and calling him already as 'NEXT LCW'.
This wont do good for him. Instead it will burden him with so much pressure which comes along the way while taking that name into his mind.

Looks like you place your bet on LZJ right? Are you even that surprised that LZJ lost considering Kunlavut record in this tournament? The players he beat before LZJ were pretty good and he beat them comprehensively.

I think mentally unstable VA will have lots of trouble tomorrow against Kunlavut, I would bet more on the Kunlavut actually, he will rival top ranking spot very soon, it should be good finals day tomorrow.
