But g But a voice did mention an English name for the channel because of fans all over the world. Lol. Momota said something along the lines of impossible. I think it was about doing the videos in English.
well, nowadays things can change at any moment. the world is in a minute-to-minute decision era. i won't believe it until he actually steps on the court.
BUSINESS RESUMES!! Momo-chan back on international court and passing Paruppali. He is looking more thin than usual?
He looks finished. Punch clears were his last resort to save himself from 15-6 to 22-20 embarrassment. I can't even recognise his footwork. It's not the Momota that was ruling the world. Speechless.
Dude he did well given what he went through, we have players who get irreversibly damaged after a simple net error, I am confident he will very soon be back to his best.
While I agree he is not the Momota we know. I think we should give him a bit of time to re-adjust. Will he be able to win this tournament. Unlikely for me. Friday will be his last match. But finished? Unlikely. He will be back full power soon should he participate in all tourneys.
After all this time, it was great to finally see Momota on court! I wouldn't read too much about his real level from today's performance, and I wouldn't rule out anything for the rest of the tournament; I think Kashyap said it best: "The first round is always tough for the good ones. I’m challenging him, so I have less pressure; he’s the one who has to prove himself and the pressure is on him" and "It’s his first match and he was very good today for a first round, and he made very few errors.”
I think he plays better today agains prannoy, juck lack some speed, hope he get better every match and become champion again
I take it that scar on his arm was from the accident? Also noticed he wasn't wearing his usual knee strap yesterday, but it was back today.
He was moving a lot better against Prannoy. However, his footsteps to overhead isn't looking as smooth as before and also seems to lack a bit of springiness in his legs. But this match felt better than the previous one. Tough match today - very tough match. Let's see if he can go through this. Koki Watanabe I have noticed has the same play style as Momota and the same style too lol. But as of now he seemed faster than Momota. I hope Momota can get back his speed today.
Don't really know what the fuss is about. I'm totally happy with the way he's playing after 14 months, a career-threatening injury, and Covid. It could have been much, much worse and I think there is lots of ground for optimism, even if he doesn't progress further in the tournament.
