Antonsen was breathing quite heavily. Without that Covid-Walkover against a non-positive Srikanth, this probably wouldn't have gone his way.

Shame he put that smash in the net after a great rally at 20-19 up. :(

That is SV playing to the best of his abilities in a very long while. It seems like the Agus Santoso factor is working for the Indian MS. A bit early to draw conclusions though

    Pity.

He is practicing only for 1 month since March and smash is hard thing to get right under pressure without proper practice/confidence.
He made Antonsen work hard in games 2 & 3.

That is a better play from him in a long time, but this is not his best, he can do a lot better in net and defense areas, he can improve there.

Then please also take into account that Anders was also sick with Corona in December, was not able to train for several weeks and is not yet in full force ...

Sameer resumed practice only in November, after covid lockdown in April.

And what, pray tell, has that got to do with Srikanth being sidelined needlessly?

Nothing , but Srikanth wasn't beeing sideline needlessly. It was told all teams in the special "Covid-Breefing" before the three tournaments on 7th of January that a player has to withdraw from tournament even if the roommate of him is tested positive.

All players have duel sharing rooms? Why only some players get to have that provision ? It is the craziness of bwf guys was the reason for Srikanth getting sidelined.

PVS looks sub par, both in terms of movements and shot quality. Her legs seem to be glued to the mat. In such shape, she is gonna be schooled by a handful of players at the WTF next week

When booking a room, each member association could indicate whether they would like a single or double room. So I don't know whether all players could have got single rooms at all. Maybe it's a question of costs. I don't know. As I wrote a few days ago, in times of Corona, it would have been the best choice to book a double room for double pairs and a single room for single players. It's a shame that our beautiful sport suffers so much from Corona. But we have to look ahead and live with the restrictions of these days. Even if an "injustice" arises and an innocent player is eliminated from the tournament.
Edit: And no , it's not the craziness of bwf guys. It's the decision of health authorities from Thailand. Otherwise they would not allow the tournaments. So BWF has to do in this times what the healt authorities say.
