Exactly! Two other exceptions, at least in Europe. In some countries it is not broadcast on youtube, for example Sport TV2 (pay-tv) in Denmark or sportdeutschland.tv in Germany (Internet stream financed by advertising). These television providers can also express requests, e.g. that players of their country play at prime time. The other exception is if a player has to play in two disciplines, changes will also be made.
They planned some spectators for the second and third tournament. Cause of more covid cases they changed it to no supporters.
WTF finals starts on wednesday and if if Srikanth can be put in group which plays on thursday I think he will be allowed to play completing his quarantine and if he tests -ve.
Maybe , we will see. He goes in quarantaine yesterday and ten days means at least until thursday next week. And he isn't allowed to train. So I think it's impossible for him to play the WTF. But we will see ;-) BTW- Every player on WTF has to play on wednesday cause it's groupstage.
I think he went to quarantine on Monday, sometime after his match when he got the test results of BSP. Lets see, fingers crossed, hope that bai & bwf do some thing here.
do you mean for any tournament usually on youtube or just the ones taking place in europe? i'm curious if any of those tv stations have ever made a request. does it seem like they are doing so?
strange. they let a german pair play the next day when they were classified 'high risk' in last week's tournament, and they had close contact with someone who tested +. since kidambi didn't test positive what did they classify him risk wise?
err, i want to see thom/del and Benyapa to check if they were rising stars but they both lost in court 3 _________________________________________________________________
Normally every tournament , but specially Europe. I know it from Denmark Open. If there is a start of the tournament day perhaps at 10:00 am and they planning to broadcast 10 games the broadcaster in Denmark ask to put the Danish players maybe on game 6 , 8 , 9 & 10 , so that it will be the prime time in Denmark. That's ok for me , cause they pay for it. Two years ago at one day they even broadcast game 11 , 12, 13 on tv court with Danish players. And there is still another exception of changing the plan of tournament software. On BWF World Tour 300 events they broadcast at SF Day six games on TV-Court and four games on Court 2 . On court 2 they put everytime games with players of one country. Same at BWF 500 tournaments with eight games broadcast.
I don't know. The German pair only had contact with the coach a few hours a day and the test of the German Coach one day later was negative. Kidambi had contact with his roommate half of the day. Maybe this is the difference.
If Kidambi Srikanth isn't allowed to take part WTFinals then Ginting has secured his place for next week event. Other scenario Ginting fate will depend on tomorrow's result whether Lee CY could pass HK Vittinghus or not. ASG - 27,620 LCY - 26,220 (QF) or 28,020 (SF)
Sorry if this has been mentioned, but does BWF not record every match? Was looking forward to gemke vs verma but it's nowhere to be seen.
there are broadcast rights issues at play. the tournament host owns the rights to their domestic market, which covers their home country. bwf owns the rights for the rest of the world and will region block the home country on youtube and any other country bwf sold the broadcast to, or any portion thereof. the host can sell the broadcast to a domestic tv station or streaming company or whoever. if they don't sell it they can waive their home rights and let bwf show it on youtube, but, this rarely happens. many tournaments can't sell the broadcast locally but still do not waive the rights w/ bwf. maybe the hosts don't know they can. are you being region blocked for asian based tournaments in denmark?
according to health authorities in my country the transmission danger zone starts at 15 minutes, so i'd like to know what the thai health authorities are thinking.
