Couldn't catch Satwik/Ashwini. Too lazy to watch the replay Anybody can comment on the match? The scoreline is ... Bad, to be polite.
Looks like EllisLangridge has a good chance of advancing to final consecutively. No matter what, they are SS champs now. Everyone can dream.
The Indian challenge stops at round 2 with all players either losing or retiring. Though not surprising, the manner in which they lost is concerning. With the exception of Chirag/Satwik all other players looked rusty. Especially surpried with Sindhu's early exit, despite her stint in London for "nutrition and recovery". Hoping for a better performance next week.
I saw KS posting a pic of him with bloody nose , seen him explaining about the procedure followed there to take COVID test. Lol. Are they really health professionals !.
LeoDaniel not hanging around, and duly dispatch their seniors FajarRian (maybe this is the start of regenaration) for their 1st SS QuarterFinal. Whether its S1000/SSP, i dont think they are that much different but you can say thats their 1st SSP/S1000 as well. I think people will always be excited for young stars to emerge. If they are truly good, i'm sure they can reach the Final.
Apparently their opponents (Lamsfuss and Herttrich) were close contacts with the German coach who tested positive for COVID-19. BWF still let the German pair play, but Tang/Tse got advise from HK side saying they should give walkover as a safety precaution. I think BWF needs to address this point better... should have made the German pair withdraw if they were close contact with a positive case
MD picks for tomorrow Goh/Izzudin Ellis/Langridge ( should be too strong for LeoDaniel) OngTeo AhsanHendra (tough match vs cunning Korea pair, can go either way) MD is the sector where the 1st time winner of SS is most likely to happen ( its about 50% chance). Also by ensuring fairplay, INA might only have 1 MD pair in WTF. cracking!.
OngTeo might be hard, TPE Wang/Lee getting stronger than expected, especially Wang, win one point, shout one time, this kind of passion confirm they can win a match...
Yeah its a good match probably will watch Match 2 and 3. I think 1 and 4 will be boring in some ways.

Great matches on court 1 tomorrow. So is Japan and China team not competing next week either? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
isn't everyone curious as to why bwf/bat/thai health authorities are ok with letting high risk players continue? if this is indeed the case they owe the hk players compensation for allowing a known high risk hazard to interfere with their continuing ability to compete safely. it is a breach of contract reneging on the promise to conduct a safe tournament. it is blatant negligence.
i got nothing to watch during lockdown time. Currently no lockdown, have to skip a small party to watch badminton ___________________________________________________________
Its QF day.. Looks like the only upset that has value is ChristiansenBoje (5.20). Pramel is given too much respect here, rating it as 55:45 match. Also Ginting is given more respect at low 1.30ish despite losing his last match against Gemke. GohTan and EllisLangridge is priced as favourites so i'm sure at least 1 of that match will have , well i wouldnt call it an upset just a different results. Other upsets like TTY vs Li Michelle & GreysAp , looks difficult to happen.
that's such a shame. Michelle Li looked really strong against sung (very physical match), didn't see tty play but tty would need to be in top form to beat li.
Looks like youtube isn't going to show any games on Court #1 and only sticking to #2. Is there any way to see the other games? Nevermind they're broadcasting it.
