Friend mentioned the Victor ARS100X swing weight is lesser at 86.5kg

Mizuno Fortius 10 power was at 88.5kg

Kind of explains why his smash has lesser bite now.

Still, goes to show their prowess, to take something in a hurry and play well with it.

Considering the adjustment time and contract negotiations period in between, must have been quite the rush.

Ahsan is 33yrs old. There's no way age won't have impact on his physique too.

TBH I have no clue whats the unit of measurement.. I was told that so I just rolled with it.. I should check on RF now lol

Hmm it does say kg.... swing weight... I think you referred to the weight of the racquet in grams? I have no clear idea except that the ARS is headlight-er than 10P... *shrugs*

Someone comments the same question and they corrects it as kg/cm2. It is a bad habit to mention just kg.

But the swing weight of released 4U is lower than the sample, which is 83.5 kg/cm2.

Bro cut me some slack, I just know the lower the number, the less bite the racket has...

I don't ever have a habit to post about swing weights and etc, it just so happens that I saw the comment and came across the values... so I thought it might give some insight to NTF's comment..

I have totally no clue if it's kg or kg/cm2 or kg/km2 man...

    I meant RF.

But it is nice that you have no clue and no habit but still bring it in.

It's pretty incredible that he can win matches with his partner being banged up, especially considering he originally got paired with him because he was supposed to be a younger, fitter back court-oriented guy....yet now it seems like HS is the more reliable of the two, physically speaking.
On that note, I really don't understand why Ahsan keeps playing here, if you're injured already why risk making it worse? It's not like this is the final and there's a huge break right afterwards, or like this is their last tournament together or sth....I don't get it.

That was pretty incredible that the English pair wasn't able to capitalize on Ahsan's injury. Just like AE 2019 final when the MAS pair wasn't able to capitalize on Setiawan's injury.

Re Ahsan and LYD injuries, how the heck do they get injured when there were practically no major competitive events over the past half a year...

what does that say about the skills gap between the current olympic bronze medalists/#22 ranked md pair and the #2 ranked md pair?

apparently having a leg up wasn't enough for the brits. heh heh. o_O

I appreciate the dad joke pun...and maintain that the brits are probably in the top 3 of flukiest OG medalists of all time. I haven't actually seen, or at least can't remember off the top of my head, a bigger fluke tbh. They only got out of groups because of the really stupid system imop - I'm still very much against that group system, it has only led to disappointments and one-off results. Admit the failure and get rid of it, BWF.

The '16 MD was a bit cursed overall though, none of the favorites delivering on their ranking and promise, and I'm personally still rankled that Korea chose to send Kim/Kim when they were quite obviously long past having a chance of winning big events. Shin/Ko were more up and down, but you don't want to get a reliable QF finish in such a big event - you want a chance at a medal (given their propensity for nerves I have the suspicion they would have dropped out in groups though).

Given the frequency of injuries on Ahsan's part - reasonable to suspect sloppiness. And it's just all over, not simply an old injury acting up or a weak spot in his body. But maybe he's just really unlucky.
Or maybe it's because of the long lull in intensity that people came back too quickly, not having prepared (physically) patiently and slowly enough. It can be hard to limit yourself after a break, you remember being able to do all sorts of things and try to do it on court out of habit, yet your body actually isn't capable of it anymore....a lot of us had issues like this when getting back into training after the first 'lockdown', and I'm sure we will again when we can go back this time

Honestly , even Ahsan with injuries is deadly at the net and in the flat game.

That's why this pair is so dangerous. They put a ridiculous pace to the rallies that it's just a privilege to watch them in their full swing.
