Based on the news (from FB), Yonex will be official sponsor for China Team for 8 years. Not sure it's true and what happen to Lining?
With majority of players under Yonex, I am afraid monotony in equipment industry will increase even more.
Now that is a massive surprise. If you ask me, something seems to be going really, really wrong with Li-Ning. Or will we see them snatching up the Japanese Team as retribution?
Actually i find no problem if racket are named with anime/cartoon character or person name. Rather than naming Astrox 1-100 which kinda boring tho its easier to remember. Like Yonex name their Voltric with Lindan name. The issue i find on Victor method are their colaborative series are rather expensive so most likely people will treat it like an antique items for collection only & not mean for playing. For those reason no player would want to buy those super expensive racket for playing & not to mention super rare review about it to.
I am curious about Chen Long, since he was born with his N55 they have to mutilate it from his hand, there is also a possibility that Li Ning will still keep hold of very top players in Chinese team.
My bet is Li Ning will keep top players, like yonex signed LD even when Li Ning is sponsor for National team, Li Ning will sign top players even though team is sponsored by Yonex. Unless Li Ning is getting Alibabaed by CCP this will be more economical and better strategy. I am just speculating here.
Major loss for li ning. Very interested to see what kind of racquets everyone uses. Si Wei with an astrox 88d? Could be interesting!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You might be on to something here. Maybe we will see a similarly weird setup like Chinese Taipei and Yonex before they finally decided to „come home“ to Victor. Time will tell us very soon.
I don't think that this is Kunlavut. This here is Kunlavut: I think you can see a little bit of the Yonex logo on his back.
This photo is "interesting": Don't know who it is, but if he's under contract with Yonex or Li Ning I guess he will be in big trouble for this photo
I've been following the young talent since he beat Christo Popov at the 2019 World Junior Championships, I love his style of play and I find him to be a real fascinating player to watch. His past rackets were the Nanoray Z speed, Astrox 77 and now he's using the NF800. Seeing that photo surprised me a lot, for one it looked like "Kunlavut" aged quite a bit and he's now changed his preference to HH rackets like the Aeronaut 9000D which was odd. Thanks Mokomima for clearing up my confusion
No problem At first I was confused too because I didn't know if it was Kunvalut and just his look has changed But luckily there were some pics of the real one on that page too
