Wang Zhengxing eliminated by a younger Liu Shumin ( also 18 but younger by 6 months) 3-0 in a 5x11 contest.

Wow, what a match , and what a performance by Wang Zhiyi, an intelligent and thinking player who proves, in this encounter at least, that she can match Chen Yufei blow for blow.

When WZY dropped G2 when she had CYF on the ropes and let her escape, I thought it's going to be a miss, a lesson learnt, a painful experience that she wouldn't forget for quite some time, thanks to CYF's resilience and unyielding spirit to stage a remarkable fightback when all seemed lost to gain herself a lifeline.

To WZY's credit, she didn't let the near miss break her will or discourage her too much and continued to sort of take the bull by the horns and grappled with the redoubtable CYF, once ranked world number one, now still a close WR2, in a repeat of what happened in G1 , WZY kept pace with CYF throughout the decider and pipped her to the finishing line by 21-19 to earn herself a commendable victory.

All in all, a thrilling, dramatic, hard-fought, high-quality match certainly worthy of a final in any top-notch world class tournament. I daresay, from now on, not only CYF has to deal with Wang Zhiyi as a force to be reckoned with in the international circuit, so too He Bingjiao may face the possibility of being upstaged by the young 20-year-old up-and-comer, Wang Zhiyi, going forward. No doubt about it.

Wang Zhiyi playing like a future world champion ?! Yeah, I am exaggerating now, but you never know. Let the future tell.

If she could presented fantastic feat like An SY who nails S750 title, maybe I should agree about this. This is still premature to gauge her performance, only domestic event, different leverage with BWF tournament.

Gu Junfeng, 2017 WJC alumnus stuns more-fancied opponent Sun Feixiang, coming from behind to turn the tables, 7-11 / 8-11 / 11-6 / 11-6 / 11-7. Former World Junior Champ, looks stuck at the moment and struggling to climb at senior stage, nothing promising development so far, away behind Lee Zii Jia and Kantaphon Wangcharoen.
