https://sports.sina.com.cn/others/badmin/2020-08-28/doc-iivhuipp1280354.shtml According to xinhuanet.com (Xinhua News Agency) report dated 28th Aug 2020, the two-day physical fitness tests ended on the 28th , Friday, for all athletes of the eight participating teams in the CBSL 2020. Every player of each of the eight teams, 155 players altogether, will have to go through 10 test items with the 4 teams scheduled to kick off R1 of the tournament commencing on the 29th, Saturday afternoon, going first followed by the next 4 teams whose matches start later in the evening, obviously to minimise any rest period advantage. The 10 test items are 1) Body Mass Index; 2) seated forward bend; 3) 30-metre sprint; 4) vertical jump; 5) Barbell squat relative strength; 6) bench press relative strength; 7) pull-up; 8) abdominal endurance; 9) back endurance; and 10) 3000-metre run As the physical test scores will be taken into account and have a direct bearing at the final play-off stage, that is why everyone attached great importance to the physical tests, putting their best foot forward. Of all the items, the 3K run is considered the "devil" test. [In what way the team fitness score is directly related to the play-off stage is not explained in the said article. But from what I gathered in the earlier article posted, the author implied that if more than four teams are tied in points accumulated for qualification to the semifinals, the top four teams with the best physical fitness test results will advance; in other words, the fitness test scores serve as a tiebreaker apart from those teams that qualify outright based on number of ties/matches/sets won. - Justin]
The livestream is broken, blank screen, for the Rui Chang vs Xiamen tie, annoying as I can't watch the he Bingjao vs Tan Ning match.
Changing the site settings to allow all permissions and restarting the browser (firefox in my case) seems to work (not always, briefly for certain livestreams, have to try every single one). Frustrating, switching to watch table tennis, Chen Meng vs Ito Mima, http://www.zhuafan.live/57185 OK, the livestreams are better now, watching Li Shifeng vs Weng Hongyang http://www.zhuafan.live/59109
The Li Shifeng- Weng Hongyang match was quite exciting except for the deciding set. Tan Ning is quite good for a 17 year old.
Yes, an exciting, well-fought match. At first I thought Li Shifeng is the better player though not by much but Weng Hongyang fought his way back decisively to equalize and forced the decider when two sets down. In the end, LSF stepped it up again to prevail in the tiebreaker. Missed the He Bingjiao - Tan Ning match due to faulty livestream at that time on Firefox browser which prompted me to switch to watching some replays of past matches, including the celebrated Lee Chong Wei vs Kento Momota 2018 MAS Open Final - what a scintillating victory for the legendary then 35-year-old LCW! I'll be looking out to catch the next match of the new lean and mean He Bingjiao to gauge how far, if any, she has progressed in terms of speed and power and, most importantly, stamina, her main stumbling block, in my opinion.
I don't think stamina can be improved so fast, may take time for that. She did feel a bit faster to me.

Today's line-up is already out, the supposed to be "Big Match" between top two teams in current standing fielding their reserved players instead of best composition : QINGDAO V RUICHANG MD - Wang Yilu/Zheng Siwei v Wu Xiwen/Xu Zishuo MS - Lu Guangzu v Ren Chengming XD - Guo Xinwa/Huang Dongping v Liu Donghan/Chen Shirong WS - Wang Zhiyi v Chen Lu WD - Du Yue/Jia Yifan v Liu Keke/Sun Zichun *Shi Yuqi didn't show up since the beginning of this domestic league, it's rumored that his injury may relapsed again.
The now 27-year old Huang Yuxiang is not to be written off yet. With his experience and like a wily old fox, he outsmarted the 22-year-old up-and-comer Sun Feixiang in a closely fought 5-setter, repeating a feat he achieved yesterday when he took out another 22-year-old, Lei Lanxi, also down to the wire in 5 sets.
ZHEJIANG v XIAMEN (2nd September) line-up : WD - Yang Xiaole/Lin Xin v Li Yinhui/Yan Chenxue WS - Ren Linfei v Han Yue MD - Wang Sijie/Wang Chang v Liu Cheng/Huang Kaixiang MS - Lin Guipu v Chen Long XD - Dong Weijie/Ni Bowen v Huang Kaixiang/Li Yinhui *Interesting MS tie between the long-lost Lin GP will take on his illustrious senior Chen Long. SYQ also doesn't show up in today's match. Practically, Qingdao relies on Lu Guangzu.
Any weibo link to today's on-going Court 1 matches. please ? Want to see the Lin Guipu-Chen Long match.
Thanks, brother. You are a lifesaver. Leave my house only twice a week to buy provisions, that too less than 1 hour each time. Any badminton entertainment is like a windfall, not when there is too much buffering.
This much much much better, thanks a lot The comeback Lin GP practically can't do too much and looks frustrated against Chen Long. His performance is still raw and miles away to go, doing many elementary mistakes, 11-6 / 11-5 / 11-2.
