Please don't put him again. I get it he is talented and good smasher but he can't smash all the time like pre-2010.
Look at his matches with Hendra, his smash is weak and he can't jump too many times.

Unless he change to more aggressive fast movement style which currently dominant in most of MD.
In term of age, not really an issue since Boe/Morgensen is also old but still cracking in MD.

Which he won't do ever. He is a little fat and 'lazy' which mean he will rarely smash full power.
    That's a great negative factor.

And Norza make the statement about independent players as well...

Norza said the BAM would finalise the teams for the first two events – the Commonwealth Games and the Thomas-Uber Cup qualifiers – at the coaching and training committee meeting tomorrow.

I’ve given the mandate to the coaches to name the best players. We’ll include independent players too if the coaches can justify their selection,” said Norza.

Independent players that the BAM are likely to consider are doubles shuttler Tan Boon Heong and men’s singles player Zulfadli Zulkiffli.

TBH is currently annoying LYD with his lackluster performances in the Indian PBL....

TBH is only a year older than GVS/TWK yet he is so stamina-less and seems too casual for competition.

TBH really needs to buckle up if he want to compete in 2018.
So far he is preventing others from using full potential.

Used to be my idol together with kkk. Lovely to watch those days. However disappointed with them during their last years playing. No stamina, slow, no fighting spirit to complete with the best.
Always give excuses for aging bodies. No choice they choose this path to retire.
