RF had measure the new color 88D, compare to old 88D the result is kinda different
    Old vs new
    3U : 89.5 vs 88.5
    4U : 86 vs 87

3U version seems abit less powerfull but 4U seems abit more powerfull.

So, do 88D have different spec or it just production tolerant (+2/-2 BP & weight)?

I asked them (racquetforce) the same to see whether it is consistent across all 4U samples or just a tolerance issue

What's your opinion on the old and new colorway of the Astrox 88 series?

The old one is quite BOOMING & many want to have it. What makes it worst their little brother 68 & 38 had the same color, so its everywhere to see.
So, new color is way to go:D

But what important right now is when we can get back in action again... Sigh...:(

I personally think its just a production thing, what gets me interested is the Ax99 tho, BP doesnt seem that crazy anymore, so it might be better for doubles :D
I know theres better choice but the more i look into the new colourway the more i like it

AX99 kinda more like old AX88D in term of swing weight. So it might be a 88D with full namd.

3U 88D getting less swing weight, maybe coz some think it might be to heavy/slow for double, while 4U getting more as the opposite, some think 4U 88D lack for punch. Just my opinion anyway:)

get to hold the new 88s 4u in my regular shops. seems like the BP is different from old 88s. Red&white colorway seems to have more weight in the head compared to old edition. I simply had dry swings in the shop. Also probably this differ due to manufacturing variances as well, and i am not sure whether AX88s have similar treatment as the first batch of AX99 where it is significantly more head heavy than the later batch. I got my AX88s pretty early during their first launch. Not sure whether they alter the balance point on later batch as well.
