First is i doubt a fake racket will have that thin shaft like the original Second, try to bend it, fake ones usually flex a lot I never buy JP version of yonex but i think it comes with small paper/book like guide or whatever it is, dont know if fake ones also get it or not
Yeah. It has the book. And it has the slimmest shaft i have ever seen. The paint job looks amazing. It's stiff like zf2 or more. I think it's an upgrade version of zf2.
I blindly bought this. I thought it will be too heavy for me. On first try (against the wall) it is amazingly responsive.. Definitely friendlier than zf2 in drives.. 3ug5 with aerobite; 12, 5 kg
Got a 4UG5 copy of this racket. Tested it for awhile before the lockdown. Came from a 4UG5 ZFII, I feel this is a tad too light for me... thinking maybe the 3U version would be just nice. This racket does not feel head heavy at all, and it feels really stiff.
Seems like everyone get their hype on ZZ. So how about ZX? Watch some review & some say ZX is more head heavier than ZZ. It had the same frame, little bigger shaft, less stiff, & 1 video i watch saying ZX little bit longer overall.
I would say even nicer... Then again.. I cannot play lobs or smashes against the wall.... So... I played with ZF2 4u before. And had plethora of rackets in between. This is one of the nicer ones..
Yeah it has completely different design. But feel when you will hold it you will think it's an upgrade version of zf2. More stiff, more swing speed, bigger head......
I will be writing my review of ZX soon although unsure when to publish seeing as nobody is interested in rackets at the moment, except forum members here. I have recorded a video comparing the ZZ and ZX which is available on YouTube. Paul Www.badminton-coach.co.uk
Hope to see your next review Paul Its frustating enough to keep our energy stored for quite awhile, limiting our activity outside due to Covid issue. At least we can spend some little of our time to fill our brain with other thing rather than just filling it with information of increasing victims & dieing people in all news channel
Some observations after playing with Astrox 100 ZZ 4U for 90 minutes men's doubles. My current racket is Astrox 88S 4U. When swinging ZZ in the air it feels really hard and stiff, you imagine hitting the shuttle is like hitting metal pole with baseball bat. But that is not the case, racket feels really solid. Overhead shots are easier than with 88S, clears were sailing long initially. When smashing there is clearly extra power available and shots are steeper. Racket swings really quickly and effortlessly despite feeling more head heavy than 88S, stick smashes are also excellent. I had few timing issues on flat drives, racket swings and bends bit differently compared to 88S. Surely this issue will go away after few more hours of playing. On defence it feels as fast as 88S, initially I can feel head heaviness but it cuts through air like a knife. Blocking opponent attacks is a very easy, I could hit defensive shots accurately and effortlessly. Especially lifting is good, my high lifts were like 2 meters higher than with 88S using same amount is power. Net area is about same as with 88S, both are quick enough to kill loose opponent netshots. Spinning netshots are easy to execute thanks to solid feeling. To sum up for me this racket is equal or better than 88S in all areas. It was very easy to start playing with ZZ after being familiar with 88S. So I've got few 88S for sale if anyone is interested
Your review for ZZ was spot on Nice racket. And nice feeling. Picking it up for the first time is deceiving tho. I really thought it will be not as maneuverable as this. I don't know if this is placebo, or something else. But while testing the ZZ and 8s side by side. It is as if.. it is as easy to handle as 8s, but then, it is as stiff (or even stiffer) than duora z strike.. Nice combo
For me, if you have a good and enough power from your wrist and shoulder, 100zz better power compare to 88S but not 88D. Than 100zz better swing feel, accuracy and control over 88D. If not, the stiffness of 100zz will make your shoulder and wrist fatiguing and you can't do powerfull smash with 100zz. 88S just comfort allrounder racket and easy to do powerfull smash than 100zz. 100zz just good for advance strong player
