Great angle of DO 18 SF against Ahsan/Hendra.
In the thumbnail the video owner gave some indicator on how high Kevin's jump and how Kevin's legs were up in certain angle lol But unfortunately there is no such explanation in the video.

Minions in AE 2018. I think so far this was one of (if not) the best form of minions I have ever seen. Both Kevin and Marcus were solid without Kevin went all over court trying to cover for Marcus.

    Olympic postponed: winners & losers
    by Steen

Kevin can improve his backcourt skills; minions have more chances to play endo/watanabe, that's good
but at the same time Gideon will be 30 next year
Hope he can maintain his physical fitness

Steen might need to put the daddies on the list, considering their peak & ages I think they're at a disadvantage

Marcus to improve his front court skills too, this is probably as crucial. Shouldn't put too much pressure or work on Kevin alone.

Good list. Yeah think it’s detrimental for Setiawan/Ahsan. Disagreed on Momota though, but that’s for another thread.

We are 2020s .Olympic are not what it is like 90s or 00s. and especially not Tokyo2020. Dont think people can enjoy the OG.

but yeah many tournaments that get cancelled, that will affect the players more than the Olympic that will still be played next year.

I can't imagine how packed the schedule is once the postponed tournaments back on.

Yeah losing 2 points in HK & AE, just like winning 2 points against EllisLangridge , ConradKolding in IO18 (DeuceofDeath in G2) & FajarRian in AG18.

OtherCloseGreatEscape win : vs ChaiHong CO2016, vs LilLiu MO17, vs ChoiSeo CO19, vs ConKol AE17 is intense.
Other CloseLoss : vs ChaiHong WC17, vs LiuZhang DO17, ChoiSeo WC19, vs HanZhou is tight..

Looking at it, it is more like 50:50 tight wins vs losses. It felt like they should have many tight losses, simply because they reached the Final most often (more matches mean more tight wins and tight losses). However, to me there should be more tight loss since everyone is so fired up to beat them and the way they beat opponents are usually easier.

Did you guys realise they won 23 out 27 Final in straight games.. It really shown through.. 8 matches go to rubber ended up 4 won 4 loss. So in Final needs to bring them to rubber first, and they dont give easy victory which is always nice. Apart from the loss against Boe/Mo, the rest has been tight.

BWF seems to have frozen the BWF world ranking. Just curious, if these freezing ranking period will be added to the no. of weeks or it's just there to be there (decoration) and the counting will start when BWF un-freeze the ranking later on.

They should have reached 14 days since their arrival in Jakarta, I wonder if they will be kept in the camp (self isolated) or they will be allowed to go home.

All AE team members had tested negative (from rapid test) of Covid-19. Still waiting for the swab test result for the MS coach.

KamuraSonoda , LiLiu & AhsanHendra will have lost their points next few weeks, its not fair to keep their points if Minions wont be allowed to keep their CO DO FO points.. unless they are allowed to choose as well.

simply because they have to defend their points later on, while KamSon LiLiu will still have their MO & SO results till next year.

By then MO and SO might have been back on. Not so sure how this thing will work business back to normal. Most of the tournaments have "Postponed" or "Suspended" status rather than "Cancelled" which means it will be rescheduled once the situation allowing.

For now the next wts tournament scheduled is Australia Open in June. Looking at the situation here, I am afraid that might not be possible. We are on semi lockdown, not allowed to go out unless for some essentials reason. And a gathering more than 2 people from different households are prohibited.

Obviously not many will have been there. To be entertaining and to be WR1, just dont happen. apart from TTY in the last decade.

    Momota not included?

Marcus is a real weird one. Had nothing to do so watched back the 2016-2017 matches. It’s really like day and night the difference, he actually had respectable net skills and was fast back then. And he could live with Kevin’s pace back then. Jeez idk what happened but that decline in 2018 was huge and sudden. Nowadays he’s static at the net, and physically not in that good a shape anymore. Why did you think the decline happen so quickly? Now he has to relearn his net skills which he possessed last time, that’s bizzare
