HOLY CRAP! We must have had a great influx of new members.
Tony showed great sportsmanship there to have hugs with his former team-mates. Overall, at this WC, China's performance went down, winning only 2 golds and both in women's. Indonesia climbed back up to claim two golds. Denmark, Malaysia and especially Korea were no where in sight. But most of all, our neighbors from the South gained the applause and hopefully interest of an entire nation. This better be front page in the New York Times sports section tomorrow!!
We had over 7000 GUESTS! THAT'S RIGHT! 7000 GUESTS! Definitely a good cause for badminton with so many non-members. (or new members at that
Ah yes, with everything that's happened, I nearly forgot. Kudos to the Kiwis for doing their thing over there down under. Definitely a historical WC.
Everyone in the Badminton world is going to ask ""WHO IS THIS HOWARD BACH ????????" This is great for American Badminton.
yeah..and demographics marketers , consultants will point this out to sports outfits, media and corporate sponsors to start the thing rolling in the US of A
Agreed. New Zealand did very well for getting the Bronze! Actually, my post included current users so ignore that one lol.
tony has made history by winning two world titles under different flag.. great job.... that's it folks...
I lived in NZ and USA for my past 18 years and learned to play bandminton. It was amazing for NZ got a medal and USA won a gold!!!
I personally think that if Google changed there search terms for badminton around in terms of links, advertisements, and images, we would have a greater and more knowledgeable audience. I say this because while I was at work teaching kids computer classes, I noticed a number of kids showed interest in badminton and googled it mostly to find information and pictures. Had they been released to better information and pictures about the current status of badminton, (not only on google, but in encyclopedias as well), I'm sure interest would have caught on from other children, and also continue their interest further as well. I hope that USA winning will make some changes around here
i appreciate the sacrifice of the chinese team for the sake of the sport aw right...i admit am bitter sour graping!!
I'm in on the conspiracy. Indeed, I donated $1000 to the conspirators. Looks like it paid off. Seriously though, if this tournament is true success what we'll see over the next many years is several of the kids in that audience playing in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and I mean kids of all ethnicity. Boleh badminton!!!! (And a very kind heart to my Indonesian friends who allowed this conspiracy to happen). Terimah Kasih.
