All training centers are closed, including PPBA and Gopichand's Academy.
All players gone to their native place.

For those who are coming from a foreign country.for some people it doesn't show symptoms in early stage

Even Indonesia. All the team members are quarantined for 14 days after arriving in Jakarta.
Well of course those who didn't go to England are still practising like usual.

If that is the case then it will be on an average similar case everywhere.

I thought players from other countries may be training because most athletes during post match interviews at AE told that they are very motivated to go back and train harder.

Probably a bit of a mouthful to mention quarantines in a very short post match interview

BAI hasn't given any update on Agus Dwi Santoso. The players have to complete mandatory quarantine. Until March 31, the academies are not allowed to open. Vimal Kumar wants to start practice on March 24 but will follow the Karnataka government directive. The players can only do fitness, strength exercises at home.

The government has made social distancing mandatory.

Agus Dwi Santoso has arrived in India. He can only plan with Gopichand.

Allow Olympic-bound Indian athletes to train after testing them: Vimal Kumar
    PTI | Mar 17, 2020, 17:29 IST

    Excerpts:

"I feel sad for the sports community. They follow healthy lifestyle, they have good immunity unlike general public. So I believe the government should look at ways to test these athletes who have already qualified and allow them to train," Vimal said.

"If it was some other year I wouldn't have said so but it is an Olympic year, it comes after every four years. So put them through constant testing and even if some test positive I believe they will recover in two weeks time."

"In badminton, look what China, Japan or Korea are doing. They are staying in different countries and training. Here we have hardly 100 odd people who have qualified for Olympics. They have to be looked at a little bit differently," Vimal said.

Sindhu's father PV Ramana said at least the shuttlers who have qualified for Olympics should be allowed to train at the Gopichand academy.

"Badminton is not a contact sports, so you can maintain that 5 feet distance. so I believe at least players who have qualified should be allowed to train. Otherwise, if you don't train for 15 days, it will take another two months to get back to match fitness," he said.

"There is lot of uncertainty right now. If things improve, how will the BWF go about organising the events, we don't know. But nothing is in our hand."

Ramana, who was part of the team that won a bronze at the 1986 Asian Games, said he is trying different ways to keep Sindhu fit.

"She is doing some light exercise at the terrace like dips and leg works. Our house is in a hilly area, there is no movement of people or vehicles in that road, so she is doing some jogging, stretching and exercises for strengthening for legs in morning and evening," he said.

Sportspeople have good immune power they may recover but if they pass to other people it becomes risk to the community.we shouldn't risk others health for our own sake

    Disagree.

A negative test doesn't mean no infection. Only no infection at that time of testing. They could turn positive ten days later instead of five days. It's a good move to isolate for two weeks. Then you can be almost completely sure everyone is going to be safe.

Good writeup, nice that they are interested in whole badminton and not just results.
Few days ago we discussed in this forum about need for perspective changes in the minds of MS players, they are also talking about importance of motivation etc.

New Delhi: The prestigious Indian badminton doubles foreign coach before the Olympics plants limpele (Indonesia) to the resignation of the former badminton coach Vimal Kumar expressed dissatisfaction. He was outraged over irresponsible handouts in front of key tournaments if they were paid huge sums. He said measures should be taken to ensure that foreign coaches are accountable. 'The way in which Flandy went is immoral and unfortunate.

The Indian doubles pair almost qualified for the Olympics. With the doubles going well for us, it was disappointing to see him leave without ending his tenure. In January I had a long discussion with Flandy. He talked about our players. Where the defects are identified and corrected. But the All England squad left before the tour. "This is not right," said Vimal, who was India's head coach from 2003 to 2006. Limpelle, who was appointed as the doubles coach last March, has resigned from the post of family coach due to family reasons.

Limpelle, the fourth foreign coach to do so. Korean coach Kim Ji Hyun, Indonesia coach Mulyo Handao, and Malaysia coach Tan Kim, who were instrumental in becoming the world champion ahead of PV Indus, left for several reasons. As this happens every time, Vimal Kumar opined that stringent regulations should be imposed when appointing foreign coaches. 'Coaches need to make rules to ensure accountability. Rules should be incorporated into the contract to ensure that the individuals are responsible for the work specified for them. We are giving huge sums to foreign coaches. Don't go without saying, ”said Vimal. So far, only Indira and Sai Praneeth have been in singles from India and the pair of Chirag Shetty and Saatvik Sairaj have already qualified for the Olympics.

Article asks too much of Agus. It was written -

"Santoso has the experience of producing world and Olympic medallists and Gopichand clearly believes that he can do the same in India.

But before he can think of all that, Santoso would have to prove himself by producing a quick turnaround in the performance of the top Indian men’s singles players and in the current scenario, that could boil down to purely his motivational skills."

It's too little a time for him to prove himself. For that, players need to sync with him too. With the current situation regarding covid 19, I think it's now clear who will qualify and who won't.
