It's now 15-3, including today's match but I'm not too concerned as Chen Yufei won the previous two encounters, so it's not too bad, just normal to lose one back. I'd say it's quite an even match until the final lap in G2 as I felt that CYF was too eager to force the decider and became a bit more error-prone. The good thing is CYF has time on her side, she can and will get better, I believe.
Agree, she is not proactive enough today, probably thinking too much about winning instead of letting herself go and play more freely.
I think endo/yuta know they can't play with fire, they're more discipline in their tactics since 7-8 down,
Right, after Du/Li's loss in WD, Chen Yufei felt the pressure to deliver as the sole survivor left, she appeared a bit stressed out, esp when she couldn't move ahead in G2 most of the way and started to lose her footing towards the end of G2.
If Japan wins this, it's trouble for Indonesia. Indonesia is smashing and using up so much energy. Japan is sitting back on defense.
Strategy from the coach, make TTY run for mistakes, not her fault. Does TTY normally hit low forehand flat straight returns? I saw quite a few of those from her semi and today final.
Ok, the minions are in trouble. Japan will just make them smash for the remaining 2 sets and run them out of energy. Gideon can't smash forever, he will get tired at some point, and then when he is tired, he will make mistakes.
why did they keep smashing endlessly.. even if their defense cant make it, might as well play like against KamuraSonoda in Dubai& Guangzhou
This match is very weird. In MD, you almost always don't lift unless it's a last resort. But it's almost like a WD match. Japan actually likes to lift to Indonesia. And the worst part for Indonesia is, their attack is not effective enough against Japan.
Anti Badminton play from EndoYuta, but if it is what it takes for Endo to break the duck at AE, why not lol
