That's true, but it has to be said that they also haven't gotten better at anything. They are both slower than they used to be (maybe due to injuries) and Nozomi has also gotten more error prone. Akane with her crazy errors (those smashes, wtf) is still nowhere near the form from summer last year. In this current state, they'll be playing for the bronze medals in Tokio, nothing more.
